I guess I misread/misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying. Isn't it interesting how news stories that were so hot mere weeks ago (think Karl Rove) have been pushed away by this pathetic pity pusher?
FReepers are going to Austin on the 27th, eh? Maybe I'll think of them while I enjoy the air show in Indianapolis that day. Nah...I probably won't. Texas is not a place I like to think about. [no offense intended, Texas FReepers] :o)
"I hope she finds other opportunities to speak out on behalf of her son and our troops."
That would be nice. But even if she's the kind of person who wouldn't want to be a part of a media circus, rest assured, that what she said today WILL be heard around the country. Thank God the truth now has a way of going around the MSM!
He certainly did NOT die for nothing. He died to maintain Freedom and Liberty in the United States, to obtain Freedom and Liberty for the Iraqi people, and to bring enslaved people all over the world, that much closer to Freedom! I cannot think of a BETTER reason to sacrifice one's life.
There's more calls where that came one from and I hope Rush airs them.
We heard this same stuff after the Viet Nam war. Those soldiers didn't die for "nothing" either. Enough. Our country does not need to and will not go through this kind of thing again. The deaths of our soldiers are NEVER in vain.
I know women like Debbie well, my wife was one. See we have two boys, both Marines, both have done two tours. On 9/11 they were Marines and since I had been back in every fight since 1964 we thought Id be back in uniform for this tussle too. As the towers of the WTC collapsed she looked at me and said Looks like Ill have to pray for three of you this time, then she looked at the piano where the pictures of our kids and grandkids are and added but I know you have to go straighten this thing out.
Ive been blessed to know some of the bravest, most loyal and unselfish Americans in my lifetime but none was, is, or will ever be better than my wife.
I think I know Debbie pretty well and I honor her too.
And if we back the kids doing the work they'll bring back the goods.
Very powerful ... A must listen, if you haven't heard it. The transcript just doesn't do it justice ...
What a tribute to your courageous wife. And to you and your whole family - thank you from our whole family.
This is the call Rush will play in a few moments. It's awesome!

BTTT!
Thank the Lord Rush played MOM's transcript again. Debbie from Indianapolis deserved to be heard by even more millions of Americans.
God Bless her.
wanted to to see this thread too.
My daughter did a successful 11 months in Iraq right after the first troops took Baghdad. Now I have almost 3000 of my 'kids' just deployed to Iraq. I don't grasp your comment either and hope for clarification.
For the record I wore my Marine uniform off and on for more than 40 years during which I did three wars. So I know what these kids are doing for us and precisely how tough it really is.

I started to excerpt your post to answer, but that would have done a disservice to it, and to those mentioned in it. You brought tears to my eyes, and love and pride to my heart. None are more deserving of honor than members of our armed forces...families like yours and Debbie's from Indianapolis, and the many others here at FR. I can't tell you how thankful I am, and how precious you all are to all of us in my family.
You said,"Ive been blessed to know some of the bravest, most loyal and unselfish Americans in my lifetime but none was, is, or will ever be better than my wife." None better than all of you. We are blessed because of you. You, and all of our military families are, and will continue to be, always in our hearts and prayers.
LOL...should have known the Freepers would be on top of this!
