couldn't deal with lawn-mowing

I can relate to that ... I'm in cooling off from mowing in 98 degree heat.

For cheesesteaks, it's Geno's & Tony Luke's.
To get the best pork sandwich, it's Tony Luke's hands down.

I'm disappointed but it's good to see my old hometown of Cleveland right up there.

We did it in South Florida for 2002. 600 volunteer poll watchers with cell phones to call lawyers at headquarters. Won the election, too.

Hasn't anyone even thought of using the RICO statute to go after these folks. If they can use it for anti-abortion organizations, how come it can't be invoked here. The clause concerning the seizing of assets could be humorous.
Oh well, not likely, the DoJ only goes after senior citizens like Martha Stewart and other easy targets.

The same people that brought us oil for food and spend their spare time bashing everything we do? The organization that's happiest when a dem is in office because he generally appoints representatives who are willing to bend over and take one for the country? I don't know, I'm inclined to think they'd pitch right in and help the dems win.

As an organization, the UN does suck. I agree with you wholeheartedly there. However, the folks I worked with from the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, who monitored elections in Bosnia), were by and large really good people. Their concern was that the elections be free and fair, and they really didn't give a rip who won. That was completely secondary to the process.

Will this finally start the ball rolling for a National photo ID to vote in national elections?

I know the flames I will get, but with the system we have now the dead can still register, vote and continue to do so. Anyone else have a better idea? We don't even have a national standard for voting! One State uses 50+ year old machines, (Pennsylvania) others punch cards, others electronic.

Polling places, some are civil, others are patrolled by party goons. How can you cast a vote if you have people watch your every move. Even worse, if you do have problems at a polling place, who is going to do anything about it? The police? Before the polls close?.

We will never be able to eliminate all of the fraud. But, until we have a national, enforceable standard, some States will remain true blue. We have to make a start somewhere. With a national ID it would make no difference where you are. You could vote like you were in your home district. Imagine what that would mean to our Military? No more absentee ballots to come in too late! Or how about a mandatory 60 day deadline for registration? This way Mr. John A. Doe can't be scooped of the street and register as Mr. J. Allen Doe in the next State one week, and then bussed to his "other" home to vote a second time the following week. If someone can register to get a social security check, someone can be able to register for a national voter ID.

Go accross the street to that new Tony Luke's Sports Bar and get the pork sandwich...outstanding!

It was easy to guess about your bro', 98 is the most political local of them all. I know those guys very well, I have several good friends high up in that food chain.

I guess it's kind of funny, but I think stealing a person's vote ought to be treated as seriously as robbery or at least burglary.

I work part time at Citizen's Bank Park and I know Tony Jr pretty well (he runs the TL stand in the ballpark), he hooks me and my guys up with free pork sandwiches almost every game! Never too much of a good thing....

Local 98's been sponsoring "Doc for Mayor" nights at Phillies games recently. They got into a decent brawl with some visiting Mets fans a few months back.
