How do prevent the stop-n-go jihad that is currently going on in London from happening here? Should we have an El Al if-you're-a-Muslim-you-don't-ride standard for our planes and trains?

At the very least will those traveling on subways in this country have to carry their things in mesh, see-through carry bags like they do in many public high schools-- in reaction to Columbine-- in this Country?

Clearly, their are many terror cells, native and foreign born , in this country. Monitoring mosques, forbidding muslims entry into certain engineering programs at our universities, massive deportations of problem muslims and ,gasp, a plan for internment should be prepared by a guy like John Pointdexter for implementaion if necessary.

Internment is an option and the POTUS should seal the borders stat.

There was hardly any internment of Germans and Italians in WWII. In fact, about 25% of the country's population were German-Americans.

The only Japanese-Americans who could pose a risk were in Hawaii, and they were not interned.

Yes, Manzanar morphed into a death camp. The commandant there got the idea he was running something just like the Germans had devised. He ended up killing some people.

Best bet on internment is to round up people who've indicted that they are a problem ~ for example, Teddy Kennedy, Dick Durbin, a couple of others ~ they are a problem.

My dad's best little kid friend in WWII was a German kid who's parents were first generation Americans. The kid got beat up a lot, but his parents, who spoke almost exclusively German, were never put in an internment camp. Besides, wouldn't it be really easy for Johnny Jihad (an all-American looking boy) to merely lie about his religion and avoid internment?

Unless someone's willing to round up all the Mexicans (citizens or not) as well, it's fruitless to rely on appearances to round up the Middle-Easterners and Pakistanis.

I still think our best bet is to minimize the internment by identifying troublemakers, like Ted Kennedy, and toss them in jail ~ without whiskey either.

It's not internment, but deportation that should have been imposed immediately after 911. Deportation of anyone from several Muslim countries who was not yet a citizen. Eventually, all non-citizens from the 26 Arab/countries should have been deported. Then it would be far easier to keep watch on suspicious Muslim citizens. And the borders, as best we are able, should have been sealed and patrolled.

Is it my imagination or does it seem like there are more Muslims in America since 9-11 than before 9-11?

It's not too late to implement the above suggestions.

My gut instinct about internment is NO. Michelle Malkin made a good case for it from what I've been told, but I have yet to read her arguments.

I knew someone, dead now, who had run off to the White Mountains rather than serve in WWII. He was a German American twice removed, and a German sympathizer.

We will probably have to turn into the Balkans before we really take on this issue.

OK, let me see if I've got this straight.

If the Leaders of the group (or their holy book) calls for the death of non-believers, infidels, heretics, etc. And the members secretly support such actions, even though a majority never actually go out and perform the "murders", then that Religion, or Cult doesn't deserve Religious Freedom?

If you can determine that they're intent is to eventually destroy our Constitution, way of life, liberties, economy, etc. (which I believe easily that is their ultimate goal)then it shouldn't be hard to define them for what they are as we did in the last century with Communists and Nazis; our enemies, the enemie of Freedom. Internment camps aren't of any interest to us given their faith (cult?) and government are one; that won't change, I don't think the word moderate even applies, ever. In the end, they stick with the tribe...period. Therefore, if we are in a war, a world war, which we are, then we need to get the enemy out of our territory. Mass deportations. In time of war, laws are modified to allow for the nation to survive. Pack 'em up and ship 'em back to where they came from. There is no other way. In the meantime, you better start working on alternative fuel sources (something that should've been taken seriously 30 years ago)...it's gonna be a bumpy ride. Mass transfer of populations is never pretty; however if anyone is best suited to do it humanely, we are. Any objections?
