Dear Senator,
As your constituent, I am urging you to oppose John Roberts, President Bush's nominee to the Supreme Court.
If Roberts is confirmed to a lifetime appointment, there is little doubt that he will work to overturn Roe v. Wade. As Deputy Solicitor General under the first President Bush, he argued to the Supreme Court that "Roe was wrongly decided and should be overruled
."
Everyone should go over there at least once tonight. It'll be even better the night he's confirmed.
I don't see the fox here -- I see a good executive, saying what he will do, and doing what he says, unafraid to make decisions for the right reasons.
He's not asleep; he's in shock.
LOL! FNC is identifying Sen.Pryor as one of the "Gang of 14"! Too funny!
I've got two open. Please tell me there are not 3, or 4...
Schumer, Kennedy, Durbin were the three who voted against him in a 16-3 vote to get Roberts out of Cmte. in the 2003 apellate court nomination confimation process..
Frank Zappa made it famous.
I just this second got back..........the plane was late, dang it!
Sheesh, how many kids did Clark Gable have? :)
Roberts was denied confirmation to the District Court for 10 years, per levin, before finally confirmed a couple years ago. This is an in your face move to the obstructionists.
Demonstrators carry placards in front of a building near the White House demanding that U.S. President George W. Bush fire his top political aide Karl Rove July 19, 2005. Bush on Tuesday sidestepped a question about whether his top adviser Rove offered to resign over the leaking of a covert CIA operative's identity and said he would deal with the issue when an investigation into the case was over. As controversy over the matter heated up in recent weeks, the White House has refused to answer questions about Rove, who is credited with being the architect of the president's election victories.
