This, and the WoT, is the one and only reason I believe that Cheney may - barely, just may - agree to be the nominee for '08 if he thinks that continuing this President's policies would be in jeopardy.

In this case, it is a throwaway vote for Hillary. much like the votes of many New Yorkers who woted for her in her senate election.
all they got was 9/11'd becuz of her scum of a hubbie's in actions in fighting terrorism in the 90s.
Them chickens will come home to roost someday.

Just calling it the way I see it. Schumer, Clinton, etc. are not my generation, this country was hurt severely by that bunch in the late Sixities whether you like it or not! I was was 5 in 1968 I was not the one burning flags and draft cards and condemning the USA! I am not the one who allowed all this laxity in morality!

Roberts really looks like an awesome pick Miss Marple.
If the rats filibuster they look dumb, if they demagogue him too much they look dumb, pretty much no matter what they do to this candidate they will look dumb. Unless, they approve him. Which they just might have to do to save face. GW is so smart it's scary.

Specter will NOT make any attempt to block Roberts...
Agreed. Specter must vigorously thrust this nomination through the committee with a positive recommendation to the floor of the Senate. Roberts will have the votes for it, and there cannot be any hanky panky.

I. Freneau as Leader of 18th Century Naturalism
1. Fresh interest in nature.
2. The belief that nature is a revelation of God.
3. Humanitarian sympathy for the humble and oppressed.
4. The faith that people are naturally good.
5. That they lived idyllic and benevolent lives in a primitive past before the advent of civilization.
6. The radical doctrine that the golden age will dawn again when social institutions are modified, since they are responsible for existing evil.

Ken Starr and Ed Meese have tremendous respect for him. He seemed really humble when accepting the nomination from Pres. Bush.
I was kinda hoping for a woman but I think he was a good solid pick.

My guess is that anyone running for POTUS as a Dem has to vote against all SCTOUS judges. JMHO.My guess is that anyone running for POTUS had better think of the precident they would be setting, a precident which could, and would, be used against THEM.
To: madison10
Somewhere?Presidente Bush said it in his speech! Didn't anyone actaully watch and listen?
We hoosiers may want to claim Roberts!
