Why do lesbians care so much about reproductive freedom? That's about all that is left of the female Dems.

Damn that man is going to look good in black.
I think so. I think Bush told Arlen Specter, who wanted to keep "balance on the court," to shove it up his ... nose.

Said O'connor "gave them a great gift by saying she stay on until her replacment was approved."
Leaky had quite a smirk on his face when he said that, didn't he? It was also mentioned that the confirmation hearing would be "fair," but take a "fair amount of time."

"Chuckie keeps saying that the USSC MAKES NEW LAW" Therein lies the problem, Chuckie. That's supposed to be YOUR job, as a so-called legislator.
To: Dog
Dont think so,,Scalia first. Then Roberts.

David "I don't know who I am" Gergen is saying that the court could tilt 5/4 in favor of limiting Roe v Wade.
To: Fitzcarraldo
That's what I thought I heard. Someone needs to give Chuckie a history lesson on the 3 branches of Government

A 99-0 voice vote in 2003 for a place on the DC Court screams moderate -- another O'Connor -- exactly what Specter asked for. I dread we have been 'Bushed' again. Yes, we have been "Bushed" again. Again, President Bush has kept a campaign promise and did what his record suggested he would do by nominating a solid conservative to the SC.

Breaux (D) FMR Louisiana Senator - Actually making some sense on Hannity and Colmes.

They used the term "many Dems around DC support Roberts."
I will be amazed if the "gang of 14" think this rises to the "Extraordinary Circumstances" clause, and they will prevent a filibuster. Recall Roberts was recently confirmed.
Shoomie, Durboone, and Leaky have zero to say about the EC clause... zero.
There will be NO filibuster on this nominee. Wait until Stevens or Ginsberg dies or gets very ill: that's when they'll really go to the mat. Roberts for O'Conner isn't going to change the USSC makeup sufficiently.
