President Bush met today with Australia‘s President John Howard, welcoming him to the White House, after which the two had a joint press conference regarding the shared goals of our two countries in winning the War on Terror. First Lady Laura later attended an exhibition of Winslow Homer at the National Gallery of Art with Australia’s First Lady, Janette Howard and her son Richard.

It was also announced today that the President would be making a prime time announcement at 9:00 this evening to reveal the name (after much speculation), of his Supreme Court nominee to replace retiring Sandra Day O‘Connor.

From the look on the President’s face today, it could be a fun announcement tonight! ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!

Dad is improving IMHO he was certainly less tired this evening but I did get him dinner earlier so he was more balanced with food.

As good looking as Roberts is, I think there will be a LOT of women watching the Senate confirmation hearings and seeing the Dems trying to chew him up and spit him out. And they will be MAD! Another score for Dubya.

Talking about the groups that endorse him, talking abot Roe V Wade being overturned, talking about "privacy" which seems to be the issue instead of choice. To his credit, Tucker is telling her she's spouting rhetoric instead of facts.

Very tired but I think on the mend. The doctor came to see him yesterday because we were told to contact the surgery and to hand over the letter from the hospital and she explained that some of the tiredness could well be because the liver is not functioning 100% it is not flushing out the tablets as quickly as normal so they are building up and a couple of them apparently are known to make you tired. So hopefully as the liver recovers the tiredness will go I think it already is in a very small way.
