The Morning Call
Speaking to the nations' largest Hispanic civil rights organization, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., received a standing ovation Monday when she vowed her support for legislation that would allow illegal immigrant high school students to attend college.
Clinton made her remarks on various issues of importance to the country's Latinos at the annual conference of National Council of La Raza, attended by 23,000 people at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
The event started Friday and has included a rally in center Philadelphia in support of the so-called DREAM Act that would benefit illegal students.
On Tuesday, the chairpersons of both the Republican and Democratic national committees are schedule to address the conference, which NCLR officials say is a first for the organization and a sign that both parties have heightened their interest in the growing Latino population and its votes.

You thought wrong!!
These anti-American illegals have been plotting for years to take back the entire southwest. Where the heck have you been?
If we don't stop the massive influx of illegals, this country is doomed.
worker program.' My stupid peons will believe anything!"
Organizations such as NAACP, LULAC, and La Raza can be correctly labelled racist based on the following definition of the word "racist" that I found in two different dictionaries:
"discriminatory especially on the basis of race or religion"
(Whatever happened to this country, anyway?)
... thereby locking up any illegal immigrant voter who may have missed hillary clinton's (and her rapist husband's) unflagging support over the years for illegal-immigrant (and illegal-other) illegal-iterative illegal suffrage.... |
CJ, I beg to differ. La Raza is an extremely leftist, self-segregating, race-baiting organization. If they were TRULY looking out for the American Hispanic, they would be down there standing shoulder to shoulder with the Minutemen to keep illegals out of the U.S. instead of demanding rights and benefits for illegals. The illegals with their refusal to assimilate and their inaugural activity in the U.S being breaking the law by virtue of entering illegally are GIVING LAW-ABIDING, U.S. HISPANIC CITIZENS a bad name. Here's just a sampling of what La Raza believes (in addition to the Reconquista movement):
promotes driver's licenses for illegal aliens, no immigration law enforcement by local and state police and amnesty programs broader than the administration's proposal
After the passage of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, MALDEF, La Raza and other Hispanic groups split a $200,000 Ford grant to promote amnesty applications among illegals.
Like MALDEF (Mexican-American Legal Defense Fund), La Raza seems more interested in strengthening the "ethnic identity" of newly arrived immigrants, legal and illegal, rather than aiding their assimilation into the American mainstream. Which fits in well with the Democratic Party's apparent goal of creating a nation of identity groups as political instruments for the further collectivization and Balkanization of the United States.
I meant to include y'all in reply #52 above.
PS: Quick1: Alberto Gonzalez refusal to denunciate his affiliation with this organization is as much a show of his leftist tendencies as are some of the decisions he's handed down on abortion, etc. There are plenty of truly conservative Hispanic politicians/leaders who have not ever been affiliated with organizations like this. His involvement is by virtue of having been a board member of the houston-based Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans, which is a state affiliate of La Raza. As a board member who claims to be a Republican, he should have INSISTED that they pull their affiliation or should have stepped off the board.
(Now what do you suppose caused this?)

It took Hillary 45 years to discover she had Jewish blood, If La Raza keeps growing she will soon find she is part Hispanic.
After many years Hillary discovered her Jewish Roots, If Hispanics keep breeding Hillary will find some Hispanic roots.
That's not the half of it. I am in the mid-west, and the illegals are being brought here by the the millions, with the support of the Catholic Churches.
They are already making demands on our society that would sound outrageous to the sensible person, however they are very serious. Their demands are being backed by the Church leaders, the news papers and the TV news. If any American citizen protests, the newspaper runs a story calling us KKK.
Sure, the Mexicans are here for a better life - ours.
