Re W and Rove in the photos today -- W has a habit, when people are in the hot seat, of calling that person out to receive special attention by association with him publicly. It's one of his more endearing traits in the eyes of those who've experienced it. God bless him! He even did it for Nancy Pelosi's daughter, who produced the "Journeys with George" video, and she is no conservative.
The photos of Jenna with the child are extraordinarily moving.
snugs, thank you for posting the wonderful pictures...especially those of Laura and Jenna. The look on Jenna's face tells how moved she is...
Happy to hear that your Dad may come home tomorrow, but, I understand your apprehension that they haven't seemed to get to the cause of the problem.
We should all write to Fox and tell them to repeat Gibson's program later in the evening, like they do Greta, Hannity and O'Reilly. I really like Gibson but have to miss it lots of times, due to the timing. I'd rather see him at 1:00 in the morning, than Cavuto--although I like him, he's mostly business. I like the full hour of take no prisoners Gibson, better than 45 minutes of business and 15 minutes politics from Cavuto.
I like O'Reilly about half the time and the other half I don't. Can't tell sometimes exactly who he likes because he goes after everyone. He's about half liberal and half conservative so guess that must make him a moderate and I don't care for him during the liberal times. :)
She looks like she's just about in tears, in the first and last photo.
Snugs. I love your profile page. The first Pic of VP Cheney is just fantastic. Thanks so much for doing the dose, the best thread on FR!!!!
Great idea! I like Gibson too......he's not afraid to be politically INCORRECT. He says what many Americans are thinking.
...more like "Rove-a-Dope" time, Cal! LOL!
How did I let that get past me! Doh! I never come up with the clever pun until two days later! LOL
Perfect description.
C-Span just infuriates me. When they finally decide to show President Bush, it's so obvious that they turn the sound system down so no one can hear the loud applause for him. I've noticed before, but never has it been quite as obvious as it was tonight. I couldn't watch so had the VCR on and volume up so I could hear it from my office. When he was introduced, there was loud clapping and IMMEDIATELY the volume went down. In fact, it went down so low, I had to go back to LR in order to hear. They eventually got the President's voice back up, but TV volume is up as high as it will go. Clapping isn't as loud as his voice.
I believe what they do is try to lower the audience noise and when they do, they automatically lower his voice--then they play around with the mikes, trying to raise the volume and lowering it for the audience, so it gets all messed up.
I particularly noticed this during the campaign. Kerry was on and the audience was noise was loud. President Bush came on next and his audience noise began as loud as Kerry's and immediately the volume went down.
Has anyone else noticed this? They make me SOoooo angry. Wonder why they didn't show him receiving the award? If he's as popular as he is with the "around the clock" criticism, C-Span tricks and the MSM, can you imagine what his poll numbers would be if the truth was being shown?
Excellent point.
I'm glad the Bush's do what they do as a gift of service to the Lord. It frees them from needing the public adulation the way certain other public officials (I dare not invoke the word "servants" here) do.
Hi tm2. Good to hear from you.
I was so hooked on today's events that I even watched c-span. I never do that. Usually it's FNC all day.
I just found the dems today terribly amusing.
I just find them terrible...period! I totally forgot C-span, we ate so late. Grrrrrrr! And because I forgot, they were probably right on time, too!
I was so hooked on today's events
I thought I was bad :) I am such a news junkie.
