That's a great site--thanks.
Sheeeesh...this is one helluva storm.
Nope, not sure if there is a site on Grand Cayman... not available to the public at least.
This is a neat site though, requires Quicktime (and broadband, unless you let it sit). It's a satellite derived radar image, updates every 2 to 3 hours... worked very well with Dennis.

That is a very nice site, some of the better images (and quickest updating) you can find on the net for free... just wish they were a smidge larger. ;-)
Thanks. I found it here with tons of other satellite links:

Thanks - that loop is awesome!
That quicktime loop is for the Super Typhoon Haitang...
Your very welcome. Did it load fast for you too? I couldnt believe how fast it loaded on mine. They must have some good servers.
What a sight.
hmm, it is. I checked earlier this morning and it had a scan of Emily..
It must circle the globe, I guess they stopped it over Dennis while it was coming ashore.. b/c it updated that storm fairly often.
Agree - was surprised at how fast it loaded. I'm on cable, but still ......
Will be visiting that site again.
Looking at that loop it almost appears as if a waterspout it twirling around inside the eye...
But its probably just clouds.
Ex and Husband took the flight to Cancun this morning. The kids told me she wasn't concerned about the hurricane as "it would only be a bunch of wind that would last one day".
For some reason I have a mental image of tourists on the beach at Pucket, Thailand the day after the Tsunami.
oops, mean to say Phucket.
I was stuck in St. Maarten one year after a storm had passed us by. The storm wasn't that bad, but the power went out at the resort for a day. The problem is the lack of a.c., the kitchens can't cook and everything shuts down.
I can't imagine being stuck in Mexico under those conditions where the weather is twice as hot. Plus this storm is much, much worse.
You must feel terrible. :)
Plus, it makes it more likely that Emily is a Mexican storm once it passes through the BOC.
Looks like Cancun is in for another Gilbert-like experience.
Well I'm not. I still thing she will track north of forecast and mighht even miss Yucatan. Yuctan is flat and low.
I hope it does miss the yucatan. One of my daughters is at playa del carmen across from cozumel. I'm worried.
