I'm feeling somewhat more comfortable today. Although the storm is becoming more powerful, a Yucatan landfall would be extremely helpful. Chichen Itza won't fall down and Emily will definitely be weakened.

Plus, it makes it more likely that Emily is a Mexican storm once it passes through the BOC.

Based on the accuracy of the NHC since last Tuesday, you may be right. I think a lot depends on landfall location on the Yucatan.

Looks like Cancun is in for another Gilbert-like experience.

Well I'm not. I still thing she will track north of forecast and mighht even miss Yucatan. Yuctan is flat and low.
