Make no mistake about it, George Soros wants your gun. In addition to funding political organizations to attack George Bush and the Republicans, Soros is also one of the leading backers of International Action Network on Small Arms ("IANSA"), a well funded lefty group dedicated to keeping you from your guns. Right now the UN is meeting in New York to discuss small arms and IANSA is there to push for "an international, legally-binding Arms Trade Treaty" that would limit your 2nd Amendment rights. One of the points IANSA stretches to make is that "gun violence is undermining the fight against poverty." IANSA says that "22 out of the 34 poorest countries are in or emerging from armed conflict" and "Almost 1000 people are dying from guns every day." Note that there is no distinction between military conflict and criminal activity in either one of those talking points. Among the interesting ideas that IANSA promotes are that its "members around the world are working to reduce gun ownership in their communities" and "[a] gun in the home does not make anyone safer, and especially not women." There's no explanation on why they had to throw in the gratuitous point about women. Why should we trust IANSA's data? Well become they say so. IANSA also tells us why we should not trust the gun lobby. IANSA's talking points provide this tid bit: The gun lobby says that Australia/Canada/England banned guns and now only criminals have guns -- crime rates have soared. Why would other countries follow? These are figures provided by the gun lobby. Why would we rely on the gun lobby for unbiased research on gun violence? The truth is that if you regulate guns, you reduce the number of people shot dead every year, including suicides and accidents as well as gun homicides. Notice, they did not actually contradict the gun lobby's statement, though they throw out a stastistic on "gun murder rates" dropping. The gun lobby's point is that crime escalates when the good guys can't own guns and the IANSA's silence on the matter is deafening. By the way, if you want to see all of the IANSA's talking points for dealing with the media at the UN Conference, you can click here. |

He wants my gun; I want his head and money on separate platters. George wants to control everything in your life and mine. Why is the billionaires can't be happy with all their money?? They have to have all the power and control to go with it and that means, control over you and me.

How old is Soros? He'll never run out of money, so maybe he'll run out of time before he can do any more damage to our country. That's why he's setting up all his foundations. They can have infinite lives.

Everyone who visits Free Republic should write, call, fax and email their Senators and Congressmen regarding gun control. When the American people start taking back their rights by voicing their outrage to their representatives, someone in Washington will have to start listening.
Encourage everyone you know to contact Washington about their displeasure with the Soros and UN effort to take our Constitutional rights away from us. If they won't listen, vote them out and put someone else in their place who will listen.

Soros believes that only trained government police and military have a need for firearms.
I wonder what he has in mind?
The "final solution to the right wing religious zealots standing in the way of social progress problem," is my guess.

George Soros wants your gunYou'd think with all his money he could afford to buy his own. Guess he shouldn't have spent so much backing a loser.

I took my Moss and put one of them recoil pistol grip/folding stocks on it and slung it from nose to the bottom of the grip....sweet, easy shooting, and mean looking....
The grip/handle actually is spring loaded with a slide that gives about 1" when shot sort of like a 155 howizter..

These are figures provided by the gun lobby. Why would we rely on the gun lobby for unbiased research on gun violence?I can't imagine why not. The VPC and the (non)useful idiots at Brady sit there with a straight face and expect THEIR numbers to be taken as gospel. So why not numbers from an actual civil rights organization?

If these idiots think people are going to give up their guns with all the criminals, hard core gangs and Muslim terrorists and other wackos out there they have to be out of their minds.
Before Noriega was hauled off to jail I lived in a neighborhood terrorized by a local legislator's private army. I did not have a weapon to defend my family, I do now. if they take it away from me I will get another. I will never be without a weapon in my home ever again.
