[history]
July 7, 2005 U.S. authorities tell ABC News that British police have recovered two unexploded bombs from the scene of the terror attacks in London.
In addition, British investigators say that parts of timing devices have been recovered from the blast scene that would have been used to detonate an explosive device. This could provide evidence that would help determine who was behind the attacks, sources told ABC News.

Well it wasn't that they were getting busy signals, she said they simply wouldn't function at all...no one's would.

"Homicide bomber is the right phrase. The intent was too kill other people"
Homicide Bombe is a stupid phrase, made up as far as I can tell by Fox News. (Though I do respect Fox, it's one of the more dumb things that they have done)
It's the same as "hate crime"...pretty much all bombings are "homicide" bombings..
I haven't heard of any "foot massage bombings"
Suicide bombing indicates the specific type of attack where a person explodes himself along with the bomb.
"Homicide bombing" is a concocted, artificial and stupid phrase. As if "suicide bombings" are not bad enough or something.

I'm also curious about the bomb on the bus. Since the others were all on trains, I'm wondering if that was supposed to be on a train as well, but for some reason the perp was delayed, or redirected, or some such. From earlier explanations, the buses were packed because the tube had been shut down. It went off nearly an hour after the first blast, and half an hour after the previous blast.

I don't like the idea that the media is giving these terrorist type a BDA during their broadcast. They should provide only the minimal details.
Why tell the enemy how well he did or didn't do. They don't need to be encouraged.

I never forgot that liberal protest in Washington a few years back where they found Al-Qaeda recruiters protesting right along side the likes of people like Martin Sheen and Susan Sarandon. Which event was that?

Plus, you cant use a wireless phone underground to detonate an explosion, unless the Brits have wired their tunnels for cell phone use. I know that would be true for the deep tunnel lines, but would that also be true of the cut-and-cover lines? Many of them are only a few feet below grade, and the stations are above ground.

As a matter of fact, it is PC to call them suicides, just like it is PC to call terrorists 'insurgents.'
Suicide bomber has been the term for a long time...homicide bomber is a recent construction created because someone thought "suicide bomber" was too sympathetic and "homicide bomber" would appear less sympathetic. In other words, politically correct language. Silly though, since nobody was sympathetic to suicide bombers anyway.
I'll stick with the tried and true standard on this one. I don't care for political correctness no matter which side it comes from.
