Lindsey Graham issues warning to DemocRATS on Hannity show
Hannity show | 7-6-05 | dfu

Senator Lindsey Graham made it very clear on the Hannity radio show today. If some conservatives thought he would get wobbly in the Supreme Court battle, that fear should now be abated.

Graham will support the Constitutional option if the DemocRATS try to filibuster a qualified candidate because of ideology.

Graham noted that it was not done with Scalia or Ginsberg. It has never been done that way.

He further noted that the President, who was elected twice, made it clear that he most respects Scalia and Clarence Thomas. That is the type of pick Graham expects.

A Conservative in Massachusetts!

Hey, man,...nobody up there has got the stones to mess with that! Remain steadfast,... and always have a designated driver available in the presence of your political representatives.

....It will be fun to listen and watch a professional smooth talking southern lawyer, actor and politician wrap words around the deaniac party crazies. He'll talk Tennessee'an......

He's going to drawl them batty. It is truly going to be fun to watch them.

I think we are going to find he will do the right thing here and beat back the DemocRAT beast.

I really hope you are right. I was a supporter when he was a manager during impeachment; thought he had a bright future. Since then, I've lost some admiration for him. I really hope he turns it around. We can use him.

thanks for your reply...

"A Conservative in Massachusetts!"
yes and No
I lived in Mass until 2003 and moved to NH but i still work two out of three jobs down here.
in my primary office in Boston i have a pic of my wife and I with Governor Romney. The Big Boss of the organization basically called me a moron for being a Republican as he picked up and stared horrifically at the picture. Needless to say i am NOT popular around the office at all but i stick to my convictions that is for sure

It's not what Graham says in public - it's what he says to his buddy Schumer in "private" phone conversations.

I think Lindsey is in deep doo-doo!

I'm happy when they do as well as talk.

As I said I was a big supporter of Lindsey, but he's let me down several times since.

He knows we support him when he fights for us. It does no good to support him when he doesn't.

Using the laws of other nations to change OUR law is TREAON!

Ginsburg and the lib 4 should be in the stockade, if not drawn and quartered...

I may be off. I was counting 55 Rep sens. Of the 7 rinos who nuked the nuke option. If just two of them come home to the party and the other 5 vote with their dem buddies that would make it a 50/50 split with the VP breaking the tie.

I think the opportunity is there for a 8-1 if everything goes the way I can see it going. Not only is Stevens 85, but he's been on the court for nearly 30 years, Ginsburg's health is not the best in the world, having had cancer and recurring infections. Just rememeber, whether its 8-1, 7-2, 6-3, or remains a 5-4 court, there are individual issues that go before the court where individuals we may generally depend on may cut in a manner inconsistent with the conservative agenda. While O'Connor was pro-choice, most issues relating to civil liberties, religious freedom, and overall interpertation of the constitution she pulled to the right. Scalia is hard right of O'Connor, but he supports the burning of the flag. Rehnquist supported Rx pot. Some issues the conservatives on the court may dissapoint us. I'd focus mainly on individual rights (including right to life), ramping back some of the insane criminal rights from the Warren court, states rights, strict interpretation of the constitution, and not allowing the lower courts to use the bench to allow policy measures that liberals can't get through legislatures. There may be a few disappointments, but overall the rest of the chips will fall into place nicely..
