Lindsey Graham issues warning to DemocRATS on Hannity show
Hannity show | 7-6-05 | dfu

Posted on 07/06/2005 1:54:53 PM PDT by doug from upland

Senator Lindsey Graham made it very clear on the Hannity radio show today. If some conservatives thought he would get wobbly in the Supreme Court battle, that fear should now be abated.

Graham will support the Constitutional option if the DemocRATS try to filibuster a qualified candidate because of ideology.

Graham noted that it was not done with Scalia or Ginsberg. It has never been done that way.

He further noted that the President, who was elected twice, made it clear that he most respects Scalia and Clarence Thomas. That is the type of pick Graham expects.

I'm beginning to feel a glimmer of hope that Bush will get the judges he wants regardless of how loud the democrats scream. I'd like to see a couple more RINO's stand up and be counted.

Specify "pair" of what??

Graham hasn't grown anything,...this is just a matter of political expediency. Only the rare instance in favor of conservatives. You can expect thsi kind of nonsense from the coreless Democrats.

After the filibuster cave-in the folks in SC were ready to storm Graham's office with torches and pitchforks. They're building up some other Rep to take his spot. I forget the fellow's name.

Graham is just trying to save his hide,...I thought he was quite good during the impeachment proceedings. I really don't care what his motivations are here, as long as he gets the job done.

We don't need McCain-lite!

Yes, but define "qualified". It smells of "extrodinary circumstances".

Sen. Lindsey Graham -- 202-224-5972

Call and tell him you approve.

His phone may be busy. Check out Drudge's report on Chuckie Schumer. Seems he was overheard talking on his cell phone about how it would be "WAR" no matter who the nominee is. Then the story ends this way:

By the time the train hit New Jersey, Schumer shifted gears and called his friend and “Gang of 14” member, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

The two talked in a very friendly manner about doing an event sometime this week together.

Developing…

Great American my ass. He is a RINO and is only coming around because his base is about to elect a real conservative next election. We don't need that kind of Republican around.

You're absoluteley right. The Republicans should defeat all of the 'Common Sense' jerks and go to bat with total whack jobs.

I'll vote them through the primaries!

Lindsey was on the road to Damascus and there was a great light. For a moment he was blinded but his ears heard the voice ....."shape up son or you'll die"

He has been heard singing
"I saw the liiiight
I saw the liight,
Praise the Lord, I saw the light."

Agreed!

Thomas Ravenel is the name of the conservative that was putting his sights on Graham.

I really don't like what Graham did back in June, but the Pubbies are going to need someone with a bit of fire in their gut to take out the likes of Schumer, Biden and Chappaquiddick Ted!

If Graham's fighting for his political future I'm liking that!!

What goes around comes around.

......he gave some of the most rousing speeches around .....

But he vassilated unmercifully. I can still remember lying awake nights drafting letters to him. He took a while before committing.

I think he must have been raised Southern Democrat and has guilt twinges from time to time.
