Developer Begins Process to Seize Justice Souter's Homestead
The Autonomist ^ | Wednesday, June 29, 2005 | Rocco DiPippo

Last week, I reported on the Supreme Court's Kelo vs City of New London decision, which seriously weakened Constitutionally guaranteed private property rights.

Now, in what can only be viewed as an attempt at pure poetic justice, a budding developer, businessman Logan Darrow Clements, has begun the process of seizing Supreme Court Justice David Souter's homestead in Weare, New Hampshire and replacing it with a hotel.

Citing the Kelo decision, Clements has contacted Weare's building official, saying:

"Although this property is owned by an individual, David H. Souter, a recent Supreme Court decision, "Kelo vs. City of New London" clears the way for this land to be taken by the Government of Weare through eminent domain and given to my LLC for the purposes of building a hotel. The justification for such an eminent domain action is that our hotel will better serve the public interest as it will bring in economic development and higher tax revenue to Weare."

Think the Fab Five ever considered that the Kelo ruling might directly threaten their property rights?

As I've said before, when our Constitution is ignored, all Americans suffer the consequences.

Clements is currently seeking investors to fund the project. He can be reached by clicking here. Encourage him to develop similar plans for properties owned by Supreme Court Justices Breyer, Ginsburg, Kennedy and Stevens.

Wonder how the five USSC justices would feel if they were this man:

This is good. So, how much investment money will we need up front to make the payola to enough of the the city coucil members in the community where Souter lives, just like they did in New London, CN.?

Ping for your ping list on the subject.

Clements really does need to consider doing the same to the other justices that agreed with the decision to seize properties, but he should wait until his case is almost to the Supreme Court. This way they must all recuse themselves for pending cases involving Clements. 4-0 unanimous decision reinstating property rights.

It'd be nice. I really would like to see that little fat ass Stevens out on the street too.

Only problem I can see is with Ginsburg. Something spooky about that old bat. Bet she lives in a cave or someplace dark. Hey, anybody ever see her out in the daylight?

A Souter Squad should be established with a $100 million warchest to pursue Souter wherever he lives and bulldoze any house he buys.

Do Sunday night specials on TV where local councilmen are handed $1 million each to condemn his house, wherever he might hang his hat.

I hope he can raise the money. Surely there must be some high rollers in our party (and the other for that matter) who treasure our property rights. It probably wouldn't take all that much to get this thing really rolling.

I'm serious about this, I want to see it actually happen.

Again, the same must be done to ALL of the Justices, not just to the majority. The reason is to encourage the minority to fight harder against such opinions, and pull out all the stops when the crazoids on the Court decide to screw the elderly, the handicapped and the poor.
