Love her or hate her, America can't seem to get enough of Sen. Hillary Clinton.
The latest literary examination of the former first lady "The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President" by Edward Klein has produced an interesting ripple in the Zeitgeist.
Nobody much likes it.
That liberals dislike the book comes as no surprise, but that conservatives are distancing themselves from Klein is interesting. As a former New York Times Magazine editor, part of the liberal mainstream media that members of the VRWC (Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy) love to hate, he would seem a proper new darling for conservatives.
Recall that Hillary Clinton was not universally beloved as first lady. Her "Me, Too" co-presidency with Bill, notable for her failed national health-care plan (and her contempt for the stand-by-your-man, cookie-baking wife), won her few friends.
Enter Monica Lewinsky and, in a miracle of mass empathy, Hillary transmogrified from arrogant political animal to sympathetic do-right woman. Nobody kicks a wounded woman when she's down.
In fact, they elect her to the U.S. Senate.
Never mind that she had never lived in the state in which she was running. Those details could be sorted out in due course. Go Knicks! I mean, go Yankees! Go Palestine! No, Israel. Oh, whatever.
With Hillary, there's something more, a something-else that puts people on edge, something they distrust without knowing its name. It is, I think, rage.
It's the rage that comes from having to tamp herself down and play nursemaid all these years while Baby Bill swaddled himself in the raiment of public adoration.

" Go Knicks! I mean, go Yankees! Go Palestine! No, Israel. Oh, whatever."
Political opportunism is often hilarious.
The first phase of her plan failed - that book did NOT generate much controversy like she wanted. "#2" best-sellers don't mean much in this game.
America can't seem to get enough of Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Oh I sure have had enough of her Marxist eminence, actually back in the first month of her reprobate "husband's" first term. It was clear what the Klintons were all about THEN, to anyone who had an IQ over 65.
"It was clear what the Klintons were all about THEN, to anyone who had an IQ over 65."
Or anyone that hadn't attained Room Temperature, LOL! Oh, wait. Those people are her voters, too. ;)
It's going to be a lovely, sparkly, bloody meltdown when she finally has it; wonder who she'll take with her? I hope I'm still alive to witness it in all it's glory! :)
"What's more concerning about the ever-evolving Hillary Clinton is that no one really knows who she is."
In my book, she is the Anti-Christ.
****America can't seem to get enough of Sen. Hillary Clinton. ****
Its not that Americans cant get enough of Hillary, its just that she just wont go away. Most Americans with good sense have had more than a bellyfull of this --person--.
"You are not voicing my opinion and "you" are not "we" nor "us" when you voice your opinion."
Did you read the article? It was hardly complimentary to Hillary Clinton. The person who posted the article to FR, screen name Charlite, didn't voice any opinion in favor of her, either.
"Love her or hate her, America can't seem to get enough of Sen. Hillary Clinton."
That is a lie - I've so had enough of the Clintons - they make me sick and give a whole new meaning to the words "white trash". I realize using those words may be unPC of me and some may be offended. To those people may I say I'm sorry you chose to be offended. :)
What we are now psychoanalyzed potential presidential candidates? Did she wet the bed? Did her father give her enough attention? I could care less. As to why the Republican are attacking Hillary so early, they know how to win presidential campaigns. The only danger is the perception that they are bullying her. Yeah, HA HA!! They just need to cool it for now; she hasn't only declared an intention to run for reelection to the Senate. You might be aware of pertinent steps she has taken toward a presidental run. Please, post this for my edification.
Calm down, Charlite did not say that!!
What does this say?
I beg to differ. I recall many years ago when they first came on the scene and questions were even then popping up about both the Klintoons. Thankfully enough, I never trusted either of them and the contempt I finally developed for her alone by the time BJ was (co-)elected left Me with an uncontrollable urge to spit in their general direction every time a reference to either of them came up. Needless to say, that opinion cost Me a few liberal friends as time went by, but as the years have progressed I have seen My concerns about them more than justified with what little has managed to escape concerning them both. I had had enough of Mrs Bill Klintoon years and years ago, and now live for the day when they both will be forced to wear a matching pair of officially-issued orange jumpsuits.
However, considering the fact that so many others are falling all over themselves with swooning in their presence and fighting to be the first to lick their feet (let alone elect her heinous to be a sonitar) (sic)...
I am not holding My breath.
Actually, I'm offended that the adjective you used to describe an ex-Pres and a sitting US Senator........
that would be the .......
WHITE TRASH
part, is not used by more people when talking about the Clintoons.
Not "un-PC", by any means.
I go out of my way to be "un-PC".
Try it, great hobby.

If you will read the article, you will realize that Kathleen Parker is the author, not me. I simply posted the article with a comment following, where I suggested that Hillary has been attempting to "prove" to her cold, critical father (long deceased), that she's as competent as any of the "rest of the boys."
The "can't get enough of Hillary" phrase is from Ms. Parker's opening paragraph(s) in this column. What you should do, Mr. or Ms. Tannerone, is to try to differentiate here on FR between the poster and the author of the article being posted. In 98% of the cases, they aren't the same person. A close rereading of Ms. Parker's piece will illuminate you further. Her name is Kathleen. Mine is (actually) Charlotte - "CHARLITE" here on Free Republic.
FYI...had I written an article on Her Royal Thighness, I would have been much more acidic, sarcastic and witheringly denunciatory of the woman desiring to become queen of the blooming planet, I assure you!
