Title says it. What are your thoughts? I voted that Durbin ought to be removed from office but I doubt that they will do more than talk a lot.

What should the senate do? Vigorously censor with intent to expel. Use it to further identify and deal with ongoing issues in the body. The position of a traitor, john friggin' kerry, and the unpatriotic stances, and often times malicous intent of many other of the scumbags. Shout from the rooftops the duplicity of demonratz. Lets use this to put a stake through the heart of that corrupt enterprise, (the demonrat party, not the senate).

You are so correct. I have lost all hope and or faith for the future of the country and only look on in shame. The GOP will simply stand by and do absolutely nothing like always. In my eyes the republicants and the democrats are one in the same. No party is better nor worse than the other.

I despise Hitler's policies and tactics in WWII. But I support the Wehrmacht!

Durbin's logic...

Agreed! Let him stay and we can express our opinion at the ballot bax to all of the Democrats in the Senate in 2006.

Wishful thinking. The dain bramaged democratic voting block in Chicago won't let this happen. He'll get re-elected easily. Look at all the MSM coverage of this event....Oh wait...there is none. Since the MSM won't run with any kind of story to smear "one of their own" the led-by-liberal-moonbat America-hating, Daley liberals will not swayed into voting anything but democrat come 2006, they've been programmed very well. And I'm not even counting people Uncle Ernie and Aunt Mildred...both who have been dead for some time.

In end...it'll leave us in the same place we started...with an elected official in the U.S. Senate slandering and dishonoring our military...without any accountability or consequence from his peers, much less any action, consequence and justice brought forth from the Republican party. The quote from Animal House comes to mind here: "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Whatever.

It just makes me sick to see what has happened to the conservative Democrats of the South. They are becoming so Liberal drinking all this Liberal kook-aid. But then again, when we moved to S. Texas in 1973 everyone we met was Conservative Democrat. Once the KOOKS took over their party most of them converted to our side. Now Texas is majorly Republican. I wonder if the Liberals will wake up and notice this before their party stops being a National Party!

I'm with you. He should be tossed. Actually, he should leave on his own to prevent him from profiting from it.

The Republicans have no guts, they are all peas in a pod, protecting each others arses. But I feel it would be different if a Republican said the same thing because the dems would be calling for his head, the presstitutes would be all over him and even Republicans would be clamouring for him to resign.

I hope not. They are as irrelevant as the Whigs and just as deserving of extinction.

He should at least be censured.

I picked "Nothing."

It seems like those who argue for expulsion must have a different take than I do on Amendment I.

It is even worse here in Tennessee. The system allows state legislators to sell their votes by "consulting" with firms doing business with the state, sometimes receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars for their "services". A few weeks ago four legislators (3-D's and 1-RINO) were arrested for taking bribes from federal agents posing as businessmen seeking to buy legislation that favor them. Neither the 'Rats nor the GOP see any reason to hurry and get REAL ethics reform passed.

Probably because both sides like it the way it is.

Giving aid and comfort to terrorist scum who are murdering people in cold blood in Iraq and Afghanistan would be grounds for expulsion in a saner age--along with total and complete public scorn and humiliation. Unfortunately, we live in an insane age. We just don't realize it yet.

Then let the voters of Illinois decide if they want to keep such a person as their representative of their state in the Senate.

I disagree. Durbin is not just an Illinois problem. Their man Durbin has made the ENTIRE United States look bad. We the People, ALL of the people, have the Authority to demand this traitor be tossed out on his ears!

I am growing intolerant of the traitorous actions of liberals, socialists and apologists who have the political power to harm EVERYONE in this Country.

There are plenty of examples of States getting away with horrendous things that affect the entire Country just because a democrat (or rino) gets a bug up their butt about something. The entire Country should judge Durbin, and Congress should follow through on their judgment.

Traitors should not be allowed to maintain office in this country: not even dog-catcher.

Our Senate is a filthy polluted body that can't be cleaned up by talking.

I believe the Constitution gives We the People...options.

He should be thrown out of the Senate and then tried for aiding the enemy in time of war. This type of behavior has to stop.

The probability that this will happen is about .000001.

"In my eyes the republicants and the democrats are one in the same. No party is better nor worse than the other."

You're joking right? Of course one party is worse than the other. I can understand your pessimism of you really believe what you said. Have hope. Republicans may have to be told what to do, but they will do it if the noise is loud enough. Shouldn't have to be that way but hey, all is not lost.

BTW,

I WONDER IF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL HAS WEIGHED IN ON THIS?

Why have an Attorney General if he wont prosecute traitors, or at least make Durbin answer for himself before the People of the United States.

We deserve to see Durbin at Trial.

"Agreed! Let him stay and we can express our opinion at the ballot bax to all of the Democrats in the Senate in 2006."

With respect, I expressed my opinion at the ballot box and I supposedly got a Republican majority. So far, I am not seeing much in the way of returns. Instead, I get McCain and the Gang, wimpy Senators who are afraid to say squat and darn little else. Meanwhile, the left with the help of the MSM continues to do exactly what they did during the Vietnam years, and still, no one comes out to call a primrose path a prinrose path. So, where are those elected conservatives and Republicans I voted for anyway? I will never get back the money I donated and it seems that I keep getting mail from the RNC anyway saying just how great things are. Is anyone but me seeing a disconnect here?

So, the majority is being cowed by the left which is in all respects, the democrat party. The old line we used to hear, which by the way I disagreed with seems more and more reasonable and true.

"If voting could change things, it would be illegal".

Every Republican should Godwinize every answer to every press question with: "If you're as stupid as a Durbin then..."

Reporter: Senator Frist, what's your opinion on the new school voucher program, and the New York Times editorial that calls it a violation of seperation of Church and State?"

Sen. Frist: "If you're as stupid as a Durbin then you'd continue the New York Times assinuation that school choice is equivalent to Hitler's Nazi youth program, which as Sen. Durbin will be the first to tell you, is already taking place daily in the Catholic schools across the country."

Reporter: "Sen. Inhofe, what is your response to Democrat charges that refusal to pay UN costs is a disgrace to our country, and a signal to the world that the US doesn't want to engage the world in tackling the problems of the 21st century together as a world community."

Senator Inhofe: "If you're as stupid as a Durbin then you'd continue to mouth the DNC talking points, and call the refusal to pay US taxpayer money to a thoroughly corrupt organization the equivalent of Hitler's backstabbing in the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Now don't take it from me, ask Durbin how NYPD are continuously ticketing the doubled parked vehicles of UN officials in clear violation of longstanding international laws on diplomacy."
