Has it been confirmed that Joran was actually at the casino when Natalee's family arrived at the house? Maybe he was right at home in his apartment, and his father wanted to give him some time to get his act together (literally).
It's always seemed odd to me that he could get home from the casino so quickly and without the Twitty group passing him on the way.
Yes, I am aware but thanks anyway. That wasn't the point I made. I was attempting to show that there are plenty of discrepancies across the board, by everyone, so it makes it difficult to place too much credibility on speculation. We have BEEN at the recovery stage for over two weeks.
I will let brigette you and others be the judge of that sarasota. I am just posting on the threads and trying to keep up.
Look I very rarely get involved in these threads... just because of all the high emotions.
It drives me INSANE when people pile on the victim. BUT in the case of RIP I read back over all his/her posts.. up until post 1529 from what I could tell he/she was all about finding Natalee... and in total agreement with the majority of the thread. The one post that was really only questioning a situation there was MAJOR outcry... and it escalated from there.
I am sure he would have. But informing LE and letting them do their job would be the right and smart thing to do. Monday morning quarterbacking here!!
Well, as far as I can see, we've managed to avoid that so far; I hope it can stay that way!
He was at the casino, because they all went down there to talk to him.
Are you up for Extended Thread part 3?
Humor me: what possible difference does it make that Mrs. Holloway didn't go?
Nah, Joran's father should have immediately turned his son over to Jug and friends and turned the porch light off. In fact, he should have loaned them some rope and since he didn't do that, the father is involved in the disappearance of Natalee. Thank God the mother was off island, she would also be considered a suspect.
Rita, on the other hand, was pretty good on Fox, but descended into banality and patronizing on MSNBC.
yes but can you understand, in an environment where you have very little reason to think LE is up to the task, and this is a beloved family member you are looking for, you might not do what is for the best. i am not ADVOCATING vigilantism, but i sure as heck can understand what would give rise to those feelings here and i will NOT judge these people for it.
Forgive me if I seem uncaring or a bit crass, but hasn't this story grown waaaaay beyond the proportion of the event? It's a tragic situation for sure, and awful sad for the family and friends of this poor girl, but is a missing person / presumed dead story so news worthy that it justifies moving whole news teams to a tiny little island outside the country so that live coverage can be broadcast at a moments notice around the world? Is it worth 45 minutes of news time on Fox's Greta Van Susteren? And night after night latest news update?
How many missing and presumed dead stories do not get covered beyond local newspapers? What is different about this story? Please tell me
..
Or maybe we the news-watchers have just changed, and the news media is just feeding the "Reality-TV Generation" the need for stories on beautiful or famous people in bad situations. Case-in- point; Princess Di, Elizabeth Smart, Robert Blake, Michael Jackson, Wynona Ryder, The Peterson Trial.
What time does the casino close or do they ever?
Howlin and he wasn't there either. Could it be that he was in his home hiding because the father did not want his son dismembered by the Alabama posse? Gee, I would have called the police oh but that's right Jug took them with him. This reeks, regardless of innocence or guilt.
If you notice, there has been a great deal of research that is going into trying to get to the truth in what we are trying desperately to piece together. We've been doing this sort of investigating for years on FR.. So unless you've been on this thread from the onset, you wouldn't be qualified to chastise this amazing group of individuals.

For all we know, it was the Aruban police's idea to go to the house.
They seem to have a pretty tight grip on everything else; I imagine they could have stopped the Alabama group if they wanted to.
