Some case info to go along with this map...

The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Look, I don't want to be rude, but can we just once have some trial threads where people don't start into PERSONALITIES?

Ripper can either take the licks or not, but what we don't need to happen is the victimhood and the following tongue lashings and requests for apologies.

I can also live without the remarks about how somebody USE to post on other threads.

We're all grown ups here; we get along with other posters on some threads, and on other threads we rip their hearts out. That's just the way FR is.

Nita, it was I who said she sold out. It is to my understanding the interview was to be attended by both Ms Holloway&Greta Van Cistern. Greta being the scoop happy individual like her brother Whoraldo had to go it alone.

As a professional courtesy, Greta should have held off the second interview and waited to see why Ms Holloway could not attend.

This was highly unprofessioal to me and Greta fell right into the (bucolic scenario of sympathy/legal strategy) the VDS's and lawyers have yearned for in this case.

As a point of order, Greta has never impressed me in the least as to her abilities as a lawyer, or reporter. I submit you do have the right to disagree with my reponse.

When the,"Silver Bird," lands, we will all see who was right or wrong in our theories/speculations.

I don't know what happened and neither do you. Hell, I am still hoping they can find a sober, responsible and truthful friend of Natalees or even a witness that really saw her get into the car that night and what time it was. As a matter-of-fact, her friend alluded to the possiblity that she saw her at the hotel that night and when Greta asked, she couldn't clarify what she meant, she just wanted to "leave it at that."

To be honest with you, what I heard last night from Jug sheds a whole new light on what transpired the night that they went to the VDS home.

I do not think that was handled properly.

Another mistake by the Aruban LE.. Why did they take or allow this group of people to go to the VDS home? Why did'nt the Aruban LE handle this matter in a professional LE manner?

I am not taking up for the VDS, so don't get me wrong, but I would be somewhat disturbed if a group of people with LE showed up outside my home hollering for me to come out at 3 a.m.

Jug also was demanding that their 17 year old son come out of the house. This conjures up images of old Western movies where all the towns people carrying torches in the middle of the night show up at the jail demanding the prisoner be released so they could hang them on a wild oak tree. Do people really thing that Aruba is unaware of the violence in the US and how we can allow a 9 year old girl to be buried alive 150 yards from her home by a convicted sexual criminal who was allowed to roam the streets? I don't know how close you've been following this story but it has been confirmed by the three suspects three weeks ago that NH did indeed get into the car..

But I have to say, that JVS's Mother honestly believes in her son. I can't fault the poor woman for that. It's a tragic mess, brigette.

I'm glad to hear someone else express an ounce of sympathy for at least one of the Van der Sloots.

While I don't claim to have any special insight into anyone's behavior or motives, I believe the van der Sloot parents are sincere.

Before some overheated poster jumps me for sympathizing with the parents of an obvious murderer, let me say that yes, IF it turns out Joran van der Sloot is a murderer, then he should fry.

But I don't think that's at all obvious yet, and I'm surprised at how normally reasonable FReepers get so rabidly un-reasonable over this case.

So many here are quick to seize only upon 'facts' or 'evidence' purveyed by the media that suit their prejudices --and to reject all other facts and evidence that don't.

I think we should all pause and consider how very little we REALLY know about this case.

One thing we DO know here at FR is how mendacious --and how utterly WRONG-- the media often are.
