The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Yes, I would Howlin and so would almost every parent, until they heard the actual facts of the situation. Jug said that he went to the Joran's home at 3:00 am with five of his friends from Alabama, two police from Aruba and they shined the spotlights into the home, demanding to speak with their son. Come on! If that happened in the US, Jug would have been arrested on the spot and everyone knows it. If he would have had a rope in the car, he would have been taken in as a vigilante. Not having been in this situation, I can not say I understand their feelings, but I do feel for them, however, this reeks of arrogance.

I myself also admire Natalee's mother. She is deterimined, unrelenting, and possesses a love fo her daughter that speaks volumes.

Last night watching Natalee's mom riding around, passing out prayer cards, and giving out bracelets was heart wrenching. Her strength and composure were incredible and greatly contrasted by the tears streaming down my face. Prayers.

Where did you hear that Beth begged for a second interview with the van der sloots? I thought Beth was nonchalant about meeting with them again. I, too, noticed Beth recoiling when the sloot mother tried kissing her.

Personally, I think Beth got all the info she needed from her sit-down with the sloots. She probably didn't see any point in meeting with the them again and didn't want to feel 'played' by them in a second interview. Sure enough, Greta gave them a prime time platform and the sloot mom was all about emotion and how hard it is on their family and boy. IMO, moma sloot came home from Holland after the fact and is trying her best to protect her son and possibly, her husband. It was imperative she give a good performance and she did.

Beth came away from her encounter with the sloots still convinced the three guys know what happened to Natalie. My money's on Beth's intuition.

This is not the Palladin I recall from past threads. I've reared 4 children, helped with 13 grandchildren (one of whom I lost to God last summer after a botched surgery) and 3 great-granddaughters and I still believe in the American way -- the presemption of innocence.

Joran may be a spoiled brat, but any parents would react as his are doing if their child was accused of such a horrendous crime.

He may well be guilty, but since none of us were there, we really don't know for sure yet -- do we.

Natalee's mom probably does her crying in private, that is the way a lot of us are. When Natalee's body is found her mother will most likely disappear into her house and refuse interviews. My prayers are with her.

I'm sure there are many, sarasota. If anyone wants to hammer blame in this case, they should direct it to the Aruba LE for botching the investigation early on.

I do not think Natalee's mom will be taking her daughter home. Most likely, it was a night of raucous fun that went terribly wrong and this lovely young women drowned somehow. The boys may be culpable, but I really don't believe there was any sort of premeditated homicide. Cowardice and stupidity probably, but not murder.

Mom should pull back a bit...she has admitted that she thinks all Arubans know about Natalee but she still insists on going from street to street , passing out bracelets and prayer cards....she is coming across to me...as a bit too cheery and a bit too pushy...

she needs now to take into account how sick of this whole thing the Arubans are getting and now is the time for Mom to sit back and watch the rest of the investigation....

granted, it was she and her hubby and their friends that got the investigation going in the first place, but now, the word is out there...she needs to retreat to the hotel...
