Did President Bush mislead the nation to war?

In a live, unscientific Internet poll, MSNBC readers are overwhelmingly saying yes.

With more than 6,000 votes recorded, the survey shows a lopsided 94 percent believe Bush misled the American people, with only 6 percent saying no.

Polls have become worthless now that the division between left and right is so pronounced

Exactly.  If this poll were done over at Fox, the result would have been far different.

This poll says absolutely nothing.

It is completely based on who reads MSNBC, who bothers to vote (or stuff the ballot box), and, of course, the stories, written by MSNBC drones, leading up to the "poll."

We know how hard it is to get reliable results on a scientific poll when they bother to try, so something of this nature has no value whatsoever.

The left has declared war on me, my president and my country and I am fed up. If Bush doesnt start pulling out the big guns on this, find someone that will. Im furious about the whole thing. God help us and our president.

The question to be asked is whether the president was duped or was he aware that the information he was receiving was fixed. Either way, not good.

Actually, the real question that should be asked is why Saddam was still in power after twelve years of violating the ceasefire agreement, and failing to account for NBCs he was known to possess in 1991.

I checked your posting history, and I must say your post in regards to the WMD intelligence reads like a recitation of the typical leftist moonbat talking points, and is far below the standards of your usual postings.

What would you expect from the network known as:

Mostly Socialist Naysayers Bitching Constantly?!

That's why this network is no. 3 in cable news. Most of the the country, by a large margin, trusts FoxNews for the real truth!

And you would think that MSNBC viewers would "think" anything different?

Zarqawi was in Iraq BEFORE the war began. ALso, Saddam had some connections with the AQ affiliate, ANsar al-Islam. In fact, our troops found THREE mobile biological weapon laboratories in Iraq (the kind that are set up in trailers).

Figure of speech. I want him to become more orate on the subject of Iraq again. His silence is his negative. He assumes the people just understand. I do, but the robots of soundbites do not. He is facing 2 enemies the one overseas and the one in his backyard. He doesnt realize it yet. Someone better tell him.

Thanks for the compliment and I apologize for disappointing you on this particular subject. Any resemblance to leftist talking points is purely coincidental as plenty of conservatives have voiced misgivings about Mr. Bush's Iraqi adventure from the beginning.

I would agree that the president needs to do that. He needs to fire up the country and he needs to attract young men and women to join the fight, not with big bonuses, but a sense of mission. What they need to do is challenge the country and that is far better done telling the truth than the b.s. we've been hearing for the past two years about dead-enders and about the "last throes of desperation". The enemy is resilient and they are willing to die for their cause. Americans see that now, and when Mr.'s Cheney and Rumsfeld and Gen. Myers state otherwise they hurt their cause more than they help it.

I think it would have been a good idea if a link to the poll had been posted here on FR.

Something is brewing within the American people that we may not be aware of, as this poll shows.

I had heard that they were identified as having an agricultural purpose, not a weapons purpose.

I'm mistaken. The labs thought to be mobile biological weapons labs were hydrogen factories for weather balloons used for conventional artillery purposes. Google has several interesting articles and timelines about this. There is much about these WMD claims that have proven to be spectacularly erroneous.
