Per Fox News:
The Supreme Court has ruled Medical Marijuana as illegal.
Yes that's true, as soon as they find a way MJ will be legal..
Godd luck with your MS I know it can be painful but manageable and I say if MJ helps you *Screw the Feds! use it unfortunatley discreetly...
That's what I was thinking, that surely Thomas would have dissented this (as would I).
You don't know Thomas very well.
I guess Clown Posse is closed this morning.
;>)
That's classified information, mister.
I could tell you, but........(you know the rest)
Shine, Perishing Republic
While this America settles in the mould of its vulgarity, heavily thickening
to empire,
And protest, only a bubble in the molten mass, pops and sighs out, and the
mass hardens,
I sadly smiling remember that the flower fades to make fruit, the fruit rots
to make earth.
Out of the mother; and through the spring exultances, ripeness and decadence;
and home to the mother.
You making haste, haste on decay: not blameworthy; life is good, be it
stubbornly long or suddenly
A mortal splendor: meteors are not needed less than mountains:
shine, perishing republic.
But for my children, I would have them keep their distance from the
thickening center; corruption
Never has been compulsory, when the cities lie at the monster's feet there
are left the mountains.
And boys, be in nothing so moderate as in love of man, a clever servant,
insufferable master.
There is the trap that catches noblest spirits, that caught -- they say --
God, when he walked on earth.
-- Robinson Jeffers
Scalia voted for it but issued an opinion separate from the rest of the majority. I haven't read the opinions yet. Another reply has links to the written opinions.
Say, about that: They've routinely claimed I am a pedophile. My screen name is widely associated with my real name, and they in fact have often used my real name.
I'm saving some pennies and retaining a lawyer. We'll soon pierce the veil of their screen names and offer them a chance to either formally retract and remove all such claims, or face a fullblown civil lawsuit.
The 'net is not anonymous, and you cannot make libelous claims without serious ramifications.
Activist or conservative, it's obvious that none of them believe in states' rights.
Scalia is a political animal. You didn't know that. That's why Thomas is the thinking man's choice for Chief. Probably won't happen though.
I think Thomas is the best justice there is just slightly ahead of Scalia. Of all of our justices, Justice Thomas seems best to understand original intent of the Constitution and that means a lot to me as someone that thinks we will never see a day were we start slouching back towards original intent. We're forever going down this road that throws the Constitution out the window, we have been for well over 70 or 80 years (probably longer).
I'm on your side but, to my knowledge, no one claims marijuana prolongs life. It just eases the pain, right?
That's not a surprise. The law must be changed at the federal level.
"I applaud the Supreme Court's decision."
Bigtime ditto
Federal pre-emption doctrine ... oh well.
I'll look for it and I, for one, and pleased at how Justice Thomas ruled. I love the man (in a straight way).
On what basis?
I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell ya. Never thought I'd see the day.
What? :-}
