THE STENCH IN TENNESSEE
By Michelle Malkin ·
May 26, 2005 02:33 PM
Hot political story of the day is out of the Volunteer State. Huge FBI corruption sting--dubbed "Operation Tennessee Waltz"--has resulted in the arrest of four state legislators, including the uncle of recently announced Dem U.S. Senate candidate Harold Ford. State legislator John Ford apparently threatened to kill an undercover FBI agent. (Indictments posted in full at Newschannel 5.) Another arrested was state legislator Kathryn Bowers, chairman of the Memphis-area Democratic Party. There's one Republican in the bunch. More arrests expected.

That's for sure - that idiot with his WIN buttons. How can people so stupid ascend so high - do smart people just have to much self-respect to be politicians?

The local networks here gives Junior all the free air time they possibly can. They covered him when he showed up at the Peterbilt plant and shmoozed it up with the union thugs, put his mug on TV when he thought of something negative to say about Abu Graihb (nine months after the story broke), and will probably prop him up if he goes through with a Senate campaign.

I know there are other threads regarding this 'Operation Tennessee Waltz', but none mention that he "apparently threatened to kill an undercover FBI agent". Yes. And this is not the first one, either. And at least one FBI agent was indeed killed by those in league with Shelby County political interests.

Hillary has his FBI file. There's material in it that'll cause the Memphis media to distance themselves from the Ford organized crime family most ricky-tick.

I was waltzing, with my darling
To the Tennessee Waltz.
When an old friend I happened to see.
I introduced her to my darling
And while they were waltzing,
My friend stole my sweetheart from me.
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz
Now I know just how much I have lost.
Yes, I lost my little darling,
the night they were waltzing,
The beautiful Tennesee Waltz.

I doubt he'll get much scrutiny at all. The local NBC affiliate also owns The Tennessean, the daily rag, although the CBS affiliate here has ties with WWTN 99.7, one of the conservative talk radio stations.
99.7 also carries Liddy and Boortz. We also get Dave Ramsey because he lives in Williamson County, so I won't begrudge them for putting Boortz on at 2 a.m. It beats Art Bell.

Ha ha, I think I'd be more scared of Shrillary than the FBI. I'd rather deal with J. Edgar Hoover than the Clinton's any day.

I don't know whether to be angry that the RINO sold out or that he sold out for so little. The only thing worse than being a whore is being a cheap whore.

Indeed there is. Now, for one more favor from on high. Let this on-going investigation lead to the arrest and removal from office of Memphis Mayor Willie W. Herenton. That would be the finishing touches to this cake. On another thread, someone said he was, but everything I've heard from since runs contrary to that. Dang it. We here in the River City could sure use some additional good news. When John Ford is sent to federal prison, who's going to help with ALL those kids he's fathered by various "women". Oh, stupid me, he's a dimoCRAK so the citizens of this fair hamlet will "contribute" to the John Ford Illegitimate Child Fund. See ya in 20 or 30, John.

Ha ha, I think I'd be more scared of Shrillary than the FBI. I'd rather deal with J. Edgar Hoover than the Clinton's any day. You familiar with Hoover's team about a dozen agents referred to as *the leper colony*?
They were sufficiently successful that around 1956, the FBI COINTELPRO program was instituted to expand their efforts throughout the Bureau, nationwide.
Hillary's background is essentially that of the Chicago politics of her youth, equally dirty and corrupt, but far less efficient. The really dirty stuff has to be done in the dark.
