Republican South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham, in a just-concluded interview with Judy Woodruff of CNN's Inside Politics, somehow managed to compare his support of the filibuster deal with the bravery of our soldiers dying in Iraq.
He said: "Over in Iraq, we have soldiers dying and others being wounded, and all of them are subject to being shot at. They didn't have to volunteer to join the military. And I didn't have to change my vote to support this filibuster plan. But I did it for the good of the country."
Yes, he said it!
This weekend I got in a fight about a poker hand. We ended up spliting the pot. Just like the guys in Iraq, I did it for the good of the country.
Now I know what the Marines must have felt like when they stormed Fallujah.
Has anyone registered defeatlindseygraham.org yet? I would like to see websites dedicated to the defeat of every one of these treacherous crapweasels. Let's get on it and make it happen.
Graham was one of the grandstanding Senators during the period when the Lib media was trying to pin the balme on the Bush administration.
What a dirty bas.....
Wasn't Graham one of the House Manages who led Clinton's impeachment? As I remember, he was a very balsy guy back then.
Last night on CNN he said that he did not care what of pressure conservatives in South Carolina try to put on him ....that it would not make him vote to remove a filibuster.
Chris Matthews used to love to have Graham on his show when Matthews and the rest of the MSM tried to blame the President for Abu Ghraib. Graham, much like the Lib Senators, expressed so much outrage at the 'policies' that led to Abu Ghraib.
...did not care what KIND of pressure...
Whoa....what a colossal lack of brains, integrity, judgement, honesty...I can't believe he had the nerve to make that comparision.
He should pay the price the next time he is up for re-election.
Well he's acting true to form then. I trust his name will become infamous (along with the other six) now....eh?
Ya know, he should never have said that. As mad as people are at him, and the other traitors, he's liable to have some loose cannon shoot his sorry a$$.
I'd compare him to the terrorists in Iraq, if I were going to compare him to anything.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. How many days until the recall?
"Reality Base...Lindsay has undocked!"
Arrogant, corrupt, and deceitful. This creep has to go.
Careful there. I am a USN guy, and there is always a temptation to the ground pounders to make that reference, for good reason-they take the brunt of the casualties.
But there were lots of Air Force men who lost their lives in defense of our country. Just because they didn't die in unfortunate bucketloads like the Army or Marines, that doesn't make their sacrifice less.
Sorry. I didn't mean to lecture, and I think it came across that way.
Does Graham remind you of Tinker Bell?
Shazam!
The Senator doesn't know what combat is all about, however he's about to learn.
We here in SC are about level this SOB !
We are already making the calls for a replacement..
Keep your eye on the SC State house.. help is on the way
