C-span

OK, folks..let's se what going to happen today as we move closer to the showdown in the Senate. Live, at 1 PM EST on C-span 2, "Searchlight" Reid is holding a presser to discuss judicial nomination. The Senate then convenes at 2PM, and as Majority Leader, Frist will make the opening statement. Then Reid will speak. Frist as pissed at Reid last week..for announcing a possible compromise on the Senate floor without FIRST telling him of it..and Frist has yet to speak about Reid's comments about FBI files. Should be fireworks..

I'm watching C-SPAN 2 and they're showing Ralph Neas with People for the Un-American Way spewing his historical and constitutional dishonesty. Just waiting for Searchlight Reid to have his press conference and shed some gloom on the subject.

In the long term, Spector's resignation would improve the quality of the Senate, even if he were replaced by a Democrat. However, if that happened it would not be before the solution of the judicial nominating question. And on that, the votes are buttoned up for victory, or Senator Frist would not have made his public announcement last week.

So, between now and the time when Frist pulls the trigger with Cheney presiding as President of the Senate, we will hear a lot of words but they mean nothing and are mere posturing.

Senator Dornan is now up, and the one person he made a point of introducing was Gerald MacAtee (sp.?), President of AFSME for more than 30 years. The unions are dying in America, and so is the Democrat Party which is their wholly owned subsidiary. Y'all are listening today to the death rattle of a major political party.

Nothing but government employees being paid by us to take off work to demand more handouts from us taxpayers.

Republicans do not get one damn dime (and the donation requests have been flooding our mail box) until the Republicans show some spine.

Thanks Zook.

Well, now we know where the crowd came from: "Brothers and Sisters" = Union members paid/compelled/bussed to appear at political rallys (I know, I've been there....)
