U.S. Border Patrol agents have been ordered not to arrest illegal aliens along the section of the Arizona border where protesters patrolled last month because an increase in apprehensions there would prove the effectiveness of Minuteman volunteers, The Washington Times has learned.

Hey JS. This news is in Arizona, not Austin. I shure would not want the illegals to impinge on your fun at Hippy Hollow.
I dont see where you can hold the Pres. directly responsible for what some individuals do. I do not see where it's posted that it's a Border Patrol policy not to enforce the laws in the Tucson sector either. Bush did not write the laws and policies of BP. Concgress did. Shining some light on underperformers does not make this an impeachable offense.
If by some stroke of misfortune/disaster there is an incident from one of the illegals that came through - DHS will pay as well as the party in power. I suppose that is what you are rooting for.
So - who is your congresscritter now that JJ is gone?
Back on the earlier in the month a wad of folks got a cooling off banning (including me).
Ahhh...okay. Yeah, we can get a little out of hand here on these threads when folks start getting personal.
This is complete garbage. Whoever gave that order should be fired and/or arrested. I'd rather pay 5 dollars more for fresh fruit and vegetables than have a sieve for a border, not to mention telling the border patrol to stop arresting illegals.
I'm down in San Diego County and consider myself something of a libertarian conservative. I'm anything but "open borders"... in fact I'd like to foster a rebellion in Mexico and bring effective democracy and freedom to that corrupt cesspool.
In a time of war when our terrorist enemies are itching to come across our borders and do us great harm, it is a crime far worse than that.
U.S. Constitution Article 1 Section 8 Clause 15:
"The Congress shall have Power to provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
What is Bush's motivation? Too much Texas chili? Too fond of the Latin ladies like his sister-in-law Columba? Is he crazy for Mexican oil? Is his "compassionate conservatism" that proverbial road to Hell paved with good intentions?
Indeed, thats an excellent point and well appreciated for the truth behind it (e.g. no doubt man!)
Thanks for the posting Travis! Just sent the following
E-Mail to President Bush:
Dear Mr. President,
Stop this illegal alien invasion NOW! There is a horrendous backlash forming that will be nasty.
Please note the following to which you swore to uphold:
U.S. Constitution Article 1 Section 8 Clause 15:
"The Congress shall have Power to provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections
and repel Invasions;"
U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
You MUST act NOW!
Sincerely,
president@whitehouse.gov
This would be a good time to shut off the source of cheap labor. It won't really be the cause of fruit and vegetable prices rising, since most come from foreign sources anyway, but it can be blamed for the inevitable inflation that will be coming.
"Careful with smeering whole groups since your definition may not fit with that of others."
I used the Capital L denoting the Libertarian party.
Their party platform calls for the abolishment of border controls.
invasion...
what invasion????
#88 - Is our Constitution still in force?
This is an absolute outrage. I think it is a bit of a reach to hold Bush responsible if these were the actions of a midlevel bureaucrat as stated.
However the vigor with which it is investigated, and hopefully prosecuted can certainly be laid at his desk.
I support Bush on a lot of things, but border security is certainly not one of them. I think Tancredo is right when he said Bush is responsible for setting the tone here, and the tone has thus far been pathetic.
