This is complete garbage. Whoever gave that order should be fired and/or arrested. I'd rather pay 5 dollars more for fresh fruit and vegetables than have a sieve for a border, not to mention telling the border patrol to stop arresting illegals.
This would be a good time to shut off the source of cheap labor. It won't really be the cause of fruit and vegetable prices rising, since most come from foreign sources anyway, but it can be blamed for the inevitable inflation that will be coming.
