May 10, 2005 -- THE Justice Department case against David Rosen, national finance chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate race, is getting stronger, increasing the odds the aide will start cooperating with the government — which could be disastrous for the senator's ambitions. Rosen has been indicted for deliberately reporting that the cost of an August 2000 Hollywood fund-raising gala was only $400,000 when the actual tab was $1.2 million — a step that let Mrs. Clinton spend $800,000 more in "hard money" for her campaign. (After Hillary and opponent Rick Lazio agreed to ban soft money, both camps were scrambling to maximize their hard money on hand).
The New Orleans Times-Picayune has reported on a transcript of a Sept. 4, 2002, audiotape of a dinner between Rosen and Ted Kennedy in-law Raymond Reggie, who was wearing a wire. Most news accounts have left out the fact that Rosen implicated himself with each bite of steak.
On tape, the paper reported, Rosen "acknowledges that the gala probably cost far more to produce than he reported on federal campaign forms." Rosen says of the fund-raiser, "We woulda never done it if the guy [Peter Paul] said he spent $2 million. So now he's [Paul] saying he spent $2 million on an event that raised $1.4." Rosen goes on to agree that "he may have" spent the $2 million.

Unfortunately, you are correct. Slick Willy could have raped Mother Teresa on the front lawn of the WH and Dims would have justified it. His part-time wife is no different. She will escape this. Others will fall down upon their swords. Intentionally, or with a little "push..." Sad to say, but true.

I am more and more convinced that she is just the best at doing what she does. There are others who may not necessarily do things as illegally as she does, but the political class is rife with people who walk on us as if we don't exist, and in their world we truly don't. We elect them to high office, and they immediately forget that they work for us. I'm thinking specifically of Bill Frist who can't seem to find his butt with both hands when it comes to truly leading on judicial nominations or most anything else, Senator Karl Lenin of Michigan who is a bullying punk dressed up in stupid looking reading glasses, Senator Hairless Reed--ditto Lenin without the glasses, Bloated Kennedy, most of the members of the Congressional Africanhyphenamerican caucus. Throw in John McCain, Chuck Hegel, George Voinovich, pansy Dennis Kucinich, Bart Stupak of Michigan. I'm sure we could all go on. Hillary (and Bill) just shows us how far they elite political class can go and get away with it.
If the party of the Ku Klux Klan has a former klansman and a murderer among its lead senators, they could care less about stuff like this.
I expect to read about Rosen's suicide any day now.
But it won't.
When you wonder how these people continue to be elected you must consider the general public that is electing them. Our great country has become a nation of Oprah and Dr. Phil watchers. They breathlessly follow every move of Scott Petersen, Terry Schivo, Michael Jackson and continue to mourn Princess Diana. Twenty four hours per day news coverage of these historical figures is not enough for this brain dead crowd.
Doprah and Dr. Shill may not be the total answer, but I agree with you that they have a lot to do with it. As you may have guessed, I live in Michigan. The democrat party here gets the grape Koolaid out everyday and a majority of its "mind numbed robots" drink a big gulp of it. Corporations exist only to be taxed and regulated to oblivion, you can have a gun if you must hunt and that's all, you only need a 10th grade education to compete in the job market, state government with its allies the education aristocracy and UAW will provide all you need, just ask them, etc. etc.
