There is an internet vandal who defaces Free Republic with very gross pictures (homosexual sex and stuff from rotton.com) as well as posting "ALL YOU F***** N*****S & JEWS SHOULD BE LYNCHED".
He pings a variety of people to his post, ensuring that the trash is still in their My Posts lists.
To me, this isn't the milder form of harassment that Eschoir engaged in so many years ago. The very worst he would do is ask if you ever committed sodomy, and he once used the screen name "Paula Jones Tw*t". This is mild.
What this sick piece of work is doing is much more egregious. I believe it crosses the line into criminal defacement and restraint of trade. Are there any Free Republic lawyers (especially prosecutors) who can address this issue, and are there any private detectives with internet savvy that will help track the identity of this person down?
unfortunately, the url doesn't exist, so there's no resolving it with a tracert
it's ironic and disgusting. i hate "hate crimes" legislation. too big brother for me...right oout of George Orwell's 1984. Many freepers would do well to read that book (and others) again, and get back to some conservative basics. i don't believe this conservative support for "hate crimes" charges is a legit case of fighting fire with fire (i.e., a case of the greater good).
This is NOT to say there aren't certain legal, ethical. legit grounds to go after this clown. But i don't think "hate crimes" is the best way.
I'm not sure what I'd do with that list. Thanks anyway. The base URL, sans 'circamarvin', is a benign enough looking blog page. I didn't scrutinize it closely but there are no offensive images there. Lots of ads. All in Spanish. I was in a bit of a hurry to get away from it due to its hijacking malware nature.
It's really starting to piss me off to have my "My Comments" section filled with the stuff every morning.
(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
>>The prefix to that URL 'cricamarvin', which is part of the URL the JPG comes from, may indicate his personal connection to that site. More internet savvy FReepers might know the significance of that.<<
That's the user ID of some Brazillian person who hosts his site at ig.com.br
As nearly as I can tell he only used that ID on that one page. Somebody who speaks spanish could probably tell more but this is unlikely to be your perp since that site is widely linked to it's more likely to be just be where the perp got the image from.

That's because you need a .br on the end - it's a Brazillian site.
Plunked in this way with the /br, the address is resolveable to a certain point (I left out my point of origination:

Yes, the restriction on email account acceptance may have to be the first step. That's the rule over at the DUmp, and it's what keeps me from going over there and posting anything. I don't want anyone over there to be able to come back at me. Maybe it's time for that here at FR, unfortunately.
Thanks. I im'd my son for help. Haven't used dos in eons.
I think they speak portugese in Brazil. :)
Hey, welcome to FR!
(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
If I remember correctly, you were added to the the day after the Rabbi punched White Supremecist thread.
I guess my eyes were spared I was lucky enough to not see this crap.

Thanks for the welcome.
And you're right - Portuguese is definately the offical language of Brazil (and the only official language - I just checked the CIA site).
