re my earlier post:

it's ironic and disgusting. i hate "hate crimes" legislation. too big brother for me...right oout of George Orwell's 1984. Many freepers would do well to read that book (and others) again, and get back to some conservative basics. i don't believe this conservative support for "hate crimes" charges is a legit case of fighting fire with fire (i.e., a case of the greater good).

This is NOT to say there aren't certain legal, ethical. legit grounds to go after this clown. But i don't think "hate crimes" is the best way.

In general I don't like them either. I do think there's a place for prosecuting incitement to violence, which he approaches but probably doesn't cross yet, though that exists outside "hate crime" legislation, though with more difficulty.

My comment on the irony is rest's on the fact that it's not the incitement that disturbs most posters, rather disruption of the site, certainly a legitimate civil issue, and the posting of pornography in a racially charged format. Disgusting, but likely only prosecutable as a "hate crime".
