HOBART, Ind. (AP) - A tiny, ankle-nipping Chihuahua that recently had its name flashed around the globe for halting mail deliveries is in hot water again.
The Hobart Humane Society picked up Bobo last week for the third time this year after someone reported that the 4.5-pound dog was running loose again, officials in the northern Indiana city said.
Bobo remained at the Humane Society on Wednesday evening, and former owner Vicki Seber said she hadn't been contacted about the dog. Her mother had been keeping the dog at her home in Hammond, but recently gave the troublesome mutt away.
Seber was unsure who had the dog or whether it had been living in Hobart.
"I'm done with Bobo," she said at her home. "I don't own him anymore. We gave him a good home and apparently I wasn't the only person who couldn't keep him at bay."
City Judge William Longer agreed to suspend two $500 fines against Seber last month under an agreement that Bobo would not be caught running at large again.
Seber paid roughly $300 in court costs and vowed to solve the problem by keeping the dog at her mother's home.
"I've paid over $300 in the past month to bail him out, and I just can't do it anymore," she said. "It's just not worth it. I'm too busy of a person to worry about this little dog."
Bobo made international news in March when mail carriers were unable to deliver near Seber's Hobart home because the aggressive canine chased away postal employees, leaving them at times unable to complete their routes.

There is a reason why all little dogs are called "Punt dogs" Mailmen couldn't complete their routes? Must have been some mailperson, I guess.

Can You imagine being a grown up mail person, and running from a lttle critter like this? How much could Bobo bite off of Your Butt anyway?
Bobo is obviously a free Republican doggie, set adrift amongst the democrats.

Had one of these pests when I was around 12 years old chasing and scaring smaller children near me. When he came after me, I punted him a good 20 feet and the B**ST*RD never chased anyone again. Wimpered and cried every time he saw me. I hate these little punk dogs to this day.
