Does Free Republic and Jim Robinson ban those who disagree with them? asks The Conservative Voice.
Most all of the posters seek "Anonymity" when replying to the question raised on The Conservative Voice website: Is Free Republic Biased?
Nathan Tabor, Senior Editor and webmaster, moderates this running "Topic of the Day" and everyday discussion.
One "Anonymous" poster writes: "Re: Is Free Republic Biased? Biased? Well, since the site is dominated by paid party operatives and federal employees who allow no dissent from the Bush regime's latest political propaganda releases, you could say that it's more a solid, one way amen corner for the neoconservative cabal than a biased website."
Still another "Anonymous" poster writes:"Re: Is Free Republic Biased? They banned me for complaining about losing my career to outsourcing. They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality. The flames fanned by their hatred are now licking at their heels."
ALIPAC also posts the subject: Conservative Website FREE REPUBLIC Mutinies over Bush Comments" and notes: "With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users."
What seems to be a fledgling conservative based site, The Conservative Voice appears to seek readership through indexed forums dedicated to the Mother Bird herself, Free Republic. If you were wondering what happens to those little birds that fall or are kicked out of the FR nest (which I know you do not, but makes my play on words work); you might find some of them under the Free Republic Indexed forums over on The Conservative Voice.
You sound like a pathetic person to be around.
God, you seem to be a mess, even your hearing is impaired. Get some help.
Pal, you are getting sliced and diced and you don't even realize it. I'm done with you, adios.
Wow! Now that is a classic ending to a psychotic episode.
You're not getting paid? Seriously? My goodness, how ever did you let that happen?
I think you are getting a fan club. Can I have an application.
Well, at least you recognize your problem. It is said that is half the battle to recovery. God help you.
There is only one way to prepare a liberal.
Jerky.
I didn't know that either. How does the "conservative voice" know this? Inside information? I see lots of debate go on around here. If this place "held the party line" and didn't allow differing opinion then I wouldn't be here. I think the "conservative voice" is confusing the place with DU. Or maybe the "conservative voice" is full of DU'ers....
Only a Democrat troll would say that. ZOT!!! LoL!
I was trying to remember byeltsin's screen name here on FR! f. Christian is right! What a fruitcake.
I remember having one "conversation" with him where I tried my best to post in the same way he does. I just couldn't last much more than a couple of posts because he goes off on tangents and makes absolutely no sense to me.
Sometimes there are good reasons people get banned from FR.
That was an amusing visit. Why do they call it "The Conservative Voice"?? Most of the comments I read could have been straight from DU. All the whining about FR was amusing, if you like being called a "right-wing nut job".
Laz is not Mayor Loz.
I think it is a fair question to ask about the nature and current state of any website.
I don't have any problem admitting bias. There is significant disagreement on Bush's immigration policies, that is really healthy in my opinion.
Of course people have fun posting crazy pictures, we are human and like to laugh a little. Just because we aren't constantly stone faced, doesn't mean we don't have serious ideas, it doesn't mean we have no principles.
Anyway, this is random grab bag of a very big tent of conservatives, so there are going to be all kinds of people with a mixture of good and bad. I like it, it someone else doesn't that is fine. I don't see any great need for reform here personally.
The site membership is primarily comprised of lonely, middle-aged suburbanites who fantasize about sleeping with George Bush or Ann Coulter. Another large faction is the Viking Kitties, the members of which drool and mutter like the victims of a transorbital lobotomy. One such troglodyte who calls himself "Doombringer" or some such, links to his paypal site where he sells military- style Viking Kitty badges. Someone should contact Joel Veitch (creator of the Viking Kittens animation) to see if FR could be sued for possible copyright violations.
Mew (new) posts today for Viking Kitty. ;)
Plus most joined today as well. :o
#1 Of course Free Republic is biased in terms of content
#2. I have never heard of anyone being banned from this forum because they didn't agree with the conservative bent of this forum.
#3 Compare it to Democratic Underground where anyone with a conservative or sane bent lasts maybe one day.
Why is conservative voice angry at FR?
That individual with the screen name "anonymous" sure does post a lot on CV!
I believe in my search that you can use your signature or be anonymous; however I have never posted in TCV so I might be wrong. There are some there with tag names as well.
