Breaking News .. The talang volcano erupts
Wow, amazing photos.
Hoping and praying everyone near the volcano stays safe.
I love that stuff! This earth is so interesting and dangerous. Keeps us inquisitive, curious and honest. Getting ready to retire, think I'll become a paleontologist.
Ha Ha

Dont think Aussies want to hear you say that, many there still fear the yellow menace.
Henny Penny is right now and then...
No volcanoes on the moon? Really!
I'll check it out if I can get the remote away from DH, LOL! His new La-Z-Boy was delivered today, so his butt'll be glued to the chair and his eyes glued to the tube later. (He and a friend are out sighting their guns for Turkey Huntin' later this week.)
What's it about? I trust Medved, of course!
My bad; it was the "Animal Planet" channel that aired this back in March. It was pretty cool if you're into sci-fi/fantasy stuff.

Did you just crater me?
LOL
Thanks.... I needed that.
OH, THE HUMANITY! :=)
Here's what I got from the TV guide.
COULD THE END OF DAYS BE NEAR? -- From executive producer Gavin Polone ("Panic Room") and writer/creator David Seltzer ("The Omen") comes "Revelations," a six-hour event series starring Bill Pullman ("Independence Day") as Harvard professor Dr. Richard Massey, an astrophysicist who is certain that all worldly events can be explained by Science. In the series premiere, Dr. Massey is dealing with the tragic murder of his 12-year-old daughter by a maniacal murderer, Isaiah Haden (Michael Massee, "24"), who was captured and imprisoned. After a strange course of events, Massey is challenged by a nun, Sister Josepha Montafiore (Natascha McElhone, "Solaris"), who leads him on a journey through the unfamiliar world of faith. Drawn together by personal tragedy, these unlikely partners -- one who worships God and one who worships Science -- are propelled into a deepening mystery, finding evidence that the world, as predicted by The Book of Revelation, has reached The End of Days. Also starring, Chelsey and Brittney Coyle, Tobin Bell and John Rhys-Davies.
Indonesia, the world's plate tectonics laboratory. ;)
Somehow the enviro-wackos will blame Bush or Rove for this.
Indonesia seems to be at the heart of seismic disturbances these days.
These events must be related somehow.
Rumsfeld should have anticipated this.
No, this is someone posting something that happened 2 days ago as "breaking news."
It was a small eruption and it's basically stopped for a day now.
Indonesia has 125+ active and recently active (in geological terms) volcanoes. This is the only volcano in Indonesia to actually erupt in the last week.
Normally, at any given time, about 2 Indonesian volcanoes are actively erupting.
The odd thing is that for the last 4 months or so there really hadn't been any.
LOL! I just checked with DH. He's already on it, and was going to watch this tonight. Such a fatalist, my man.
Thanks! :)
I wonder if a few well placed explosives in the fissure could cause a premature collapse?
