No, this is someone posting something that happened 2 days ago as "breaking news."

It was a small eruption and it's basically stopped for a day now.

Indonesia has 125+ active and recently active (in geological terms) volcanoes. This is the only volcano in Indonesia to actually erupt in the last week.

Normally, at any given time, about 2 Indonesian volcanoes are actively erupting.

The odd thing is that for the last 4 months or so there really hadn't been any.

We watched the Yellowstone Super Volcano the other night as well. If she blows, we are toast! But I tend to liken that to the same as a asteroid hitting us in the near future.

Could happen, but I sure can not stop it and do not think anyone else can either.

I also started watching the Dragon show. At first, I too thought they had unearthed a skeleton of a real dragon.

How about La Palma, the volcanic island in the Canaries. It has a fissure separating a huge chunk of the island apparently ready to collapse into the Atlantic, potentially causing a mega-tsunami that will eventually inundate the eastern seacoast of the US. The wave would be hundreds of meters high, and travel as much as 30 miles inland. The event could be only one eruption away. The east coast of the US would have at most, 8 hours advance notice.

I wonder if a few well placed explosives in the fissure could cause a premature collapse?
