John Kerry Outs Undercover Intelligence Agent in Bolton Hearing
C-Span

Posted on 04/11/2005 12:34:14 PM PDT by The Old Hoosier

I don't know if anyone else is watching this, but the Senate hearing on John Bolton has repeatedly referred to a "Mr. Smith" whom Bolton said had behaved unprofessionally.

Well, Sen. John Kerry just gave "Mr. Smith's" name in the open hearing.

Once a jackass, always a jackass.

Before writing or calling anybody we should make sure we have ALL the facts straight. So far it looks like a good chance to look bad from lack of information.

How dare you! Investigate? Do silly things like a google search and find out he is the HEAD of CIA Latin America? Lol

I know that. He is publicly declared, once you know his name. I watched the hearings from start to finish. The committee members went to great lengths not to mention his real name and cited security reasons. Bolton referred to him as Mr Smith and the other committee members, including Biden, started doing the same thing.

Obviously, the CIA must have recommended to the committee that his name not be mentioned for whatever reason. Kerry made a mistake by mentioning his real name. I think Kerry should be called to task for his mistake in much the same way he critized Bush over the Pflame affair. Pflame was not in a covert status when Novak published her name.

I will back up kabar completely on this--

I watched the whole hearing and I think kabar and I posted exactly the same thing at the same time---

Do you not think it is possible that a known political figure could also be doing "unknown" covert jobs that, if known could endanger his life? I would think that anyone that has an "in" in Latin America, would be a good source for information from other departments of government.

Why would this person be referred to as Mr. Smith during the whole testimony, be called a different name by Kerry, and then IMMEDIATELY be referred to again as Mr. Smith by Bolton?

"Trouble is that JohnBoy and his worshippers mark it as a badge of honor that they managed to embarass or damage the reputation of America.

Even better for this bunch is if they can cause the death of a patriotic American."

Well, my vet friend, it would NOT be the first time. Just did a little "refresher" on my own (Vermont) scumbag, treasonous Senator, Pat ("Leaky") Leahy.

Never laid a glove on him either, though he may have caused the death of an agent as well:

CHECK THIS OUT:

Congressional Fatal Sin Of Pride

By Geoff Metcalf (03/15/05)

(EXCERPT)

Senator Pat Leahy, was annoyed with the Reagan administration's war on terrorism in the 1980s. At the time he was vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

• "Leaky Leahy," allegedly threatened to sabotage classified strategies he didn't like. • Leahy ‘inadvertently’ disclosed a top-secret communications intercept during a [1985] television interview. • "The intercept...made possible the capture of the Arab terrorists who had hijacked the cruise ship Achille Lauro and murdered American citizens… • The reports cost the life of at least one Egyptian operative involved in the operation." • In July 1987, it was reported Leahy leaked secret information about a 1986 covert operation planned by the Reagan administration to topple Libya’s Moammar Gaddhafi. • U.S. intelligence officials said Leahy; along with the Republican panel chairman sent a written threat to expose the operation directly to then-CIA Director William Casey. • Weeks later, news of the secret plan turned up in the Washington Post, causing it to be aborted. • A year later, as the Senate was preparing to hold hearings on the Iran-Contra scandal, Leahy had to resign his Intelligence Committee post after he was caught leaking secret information to a reporter. • He should have been indicted, tried and sentenced.

Leahy’s Iran-Contra leak was considered to be one of the most serious breaches of secrecy in the Intelligence Committee's 10-year history.

But that was before Sen. Richard Shelby leaked that we were tapping Osama bin Laden’s satellite phone. Bin Laden immediately stopped using it, and denied us the opportunity to find and kill the s.o.b.

It that's true, then I will stand corrected. But there are many other reasons that they would avoid using the name. We will see.

So, does this qualify as one of those "intelligence failures" that Kerry and the media are always moaning about?

Uphold the US Constituion!

Too bad the "Move On" FReepers just don't understand
the real threat that the likes of Hanoi Kerry pose to our country.

I just don't understand their reasoning in saying
"drop it", "your wasting your time", "give it up" etc.

Some even howl when I remind them the job is NOT done.

So why do they think I'll stop now?

Don't be like the Silent Majority in the 60's and 70's
Demand Kerry be ousted from the US Senate!

There is no need to impeach Hanoi Kerry from the US Senate

He is there illegally!

WAKEUP AMERICA!

For those who "forgot" what Hanoi Kerry
did in the past read on and learn the truth.

Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3

And the FBI has proof of his treason.

Source of the fued?

I'm still very skeptical about whether this has security implications and agree with justshutupandtakeit that it needs investigation before action.

Larry Elder show | 4-11-05 | dfu
This is just too good. Larry Elder was just talking about John Kerry and his whining claims of voter irregularities that cost him the election. After all, he just had to turn around 60,000 votes in Ohio and we would have a first lady telling people to shove it from the White House. One of Kerry's claims is that messages were being given to DemocRAT voters that Republicans vote on Tuesday and RATS on Wednesday. Well, John, it was not a dirty trick. The info was satire and published in . . . . . . . . . ....

One of the ones that objects that presidential politics is Fulton Armstrong, at present main official of the CIA for Latin America, who worked in the White House of Clinton. According to an article in the New York Times of January 5, 2003 , Armstrong is low attack inside the administration by officials that continue the line of Bush, due to its personal bonds and of position with Ana Bethlehem Mount, the spy of Fort in it I GAVE, with whom coincided in the epoch of Clinton. George Tenet, director of the CIA appointed by Clinton, supports to Armstrong.

This is somewhat bad translation from this source.

Too bad he didn't get him fired from what I can see.

You make zero sense! Kerry outed an Intelligence Officer and you think that is okay? Give me a break! You Kerry supporters never cease to amaze me on this site. You should have put a "gag alert" next to your statement for the rest of us who do not believe the War on Terror is being hysterical -- bet you wouldn't either if you had someone you knew harmed on 9-11 or other terrorists attacks. BTW, if you had bothered to read or listen to the hearing, you would have seen/heard the evidence of Kerry's outing one of our Intelligence people. Somehow Intelligence and Kerry do not belong in the same sentence.
