ADSCAM -- Canada's Corruption Scandal Breaks Wide Open

 -- Here is the best link I've found to get up to speed on the scandal: http://www.windsofchange.net/archives/006611.php

 Canada's Watergate (only better .. with Liberals in the cross-hairs!) -- When Justice John Gomery lifted his own publication ban Thursday on jaw-dropping testimony by Groupaction president Jean Brault, a nightmare of allegations against the federal Liberal party gushed forth into the public domain in a firestorm of ferocity.

 Commission insiders insist that, as lethal as the Brault testimony might be to the Liberal party, there is yet more and worse to come.

 Gomery Considering Charging Bloggers It has been suggested to me by what is admittedly second-hand information, that Justice John Gomery will consider charging any Canadian blogger who not only provides a link to a site containing banned material, but any Canadian blogger who “names the site containing the banned material.”
 I dont think Canadians will accept this.
This is absolutley devastating information.
http://mkbraaten.blogspot.com
 Gomerygate [ 1, 2 ]

Blogosphere 1, Liberals 0 -- It is the borderlessness of the Internet that has made possible the release of the truth about the Liberals to the Canadian public. Yet we are still in a phase of change where the Liberals are able to harass and intimidate some Canadian blogs, such as NealeNews, into silence. At this point, it was the Americans who came to Canadians’ aid, by posting the information denied to Canadians on a number of American websites.

Beat to Quarters (FR mentioned)
-- Captain's Quarters has really stirred up the Canadian blogosphere by carrying details of court testimony on a governmental scandal that is banned from publication in the Great White North. The scandal is about the use of Canadian government money, laundered through a private ad agency, to hire Liberal Party hacks, and is so serious it may catapault the Canadian conservatives into power. This incident marks one more step by the blogosphere into the realm of news generation as opposed to mere commentary.

Canada: Blogger busts Adscam ban, officials thinking of charging Canadian blogger. -- For those who don't know, the American blog which busted the Canadian wankers is:

Just keep scrolling for multiple entries.  Actually, here's the post which reveals the testimony, the reporting of which is a crime in Canada:

 According to 'authorities' linking to the post is a crime in Canada.

Tories begin process of transition to government

Quote:
Now that Canadian voters have awarded a minority government to the Conservative Party, politicians and bureaucrats in Ottawa are busy preparing for the first major desk-swap in years.

Paper shredders, for example, have been in high demand as public servants prepare to spend a few late nights erasing confidential records before the Tories take office, said Kathy Brock, a political science professor at Queen's University. Shipleys office told me that there is a 3 party agreement to go after corruption. He said it is far from done...Its only just begun.

Much has been made of Stephen Harper standing up to the US on the issue of Arctic sovereignty.

Not to take away from Harper's performance, but you do realize it was a test, don't you? And I think Stephen Harper passed.

The Urban Rural Dichotomy

Lorne Gunter points to media chatter about the number one problem facing Conservatives electorally - the Liberal domination of the nation's cities;

(Read the rest of Gunter's piece here.) It's the favorite leftist pastime to pit one leftist created group against another. The politics of envy.

Gunter is absolutely right. Dave Warren has an interesting view of this phenomenon at  http://tinyurl.com/79hrv.

The other interesting thing that I keep noticing is that the "3 Largest" argument is just plain WRONG anyway."

Wow!
The CBC is Pravda. The liberal scumbags up there are as bitter, goofy, and utterly irrational as ours. Their antics are incredibly amusing. You'd think their special gerbils had died or something.

I suspect Mr. Harper's threat to defund their gun registry scam ( 80 million dollar projected cost skyrockets to 2 billion dollars, with no upper limit in sight... while crime explodes... ) has them worried that their gravy train may get similar treatment.

See tagline...

For Canada's Weeping Socialist Planners--Socialists don't seem to get it, though. It's like they never learned math. When presented with fact's like taxes consume more of the family budget in Canada than food, shelter, clothing and transportation combined. They glaze over and cannot see themselves as the problem. They just renew their cry for more programs and increased government.

Andrew Stronach and SheTips: The main stream media and scary implications

Recall the two posts I put up concerning Andrew Stronach, brother of Liberal MP Belinda Stronach? How he seemed to be in charge of an online gambling operation...Well, the main stream media has picked up the story...Maclean's has added some fascinating details, details that have suggested to me a remarkable model...A model that is, frankly, very disturbing.

The Take Back America From Jesusland Movement

... looks to be suffering a few setbacks.

Bush's approval ratings have climbed back to 50%, the Dem's attempt to mount an Alito fillibuster has just failed (in a cloture motion of 72-25), and now HillaryCommander In Chief has been cancelled!

As reaction from the grassroots begins to roll in, reader Meg writes;

Between this and Cindy Sheehan's senate campaign, the fun's only starting, I'm sure.

You know, as good as Rabble.ca is, we really do have to get off our rear ends and get KosKanada launched - so the tolerant Canadian left can find its voice and help keep the True North safe from our neo-Can Busharper Rethuglican agenda!

(I actually like the sound of that - the "Harper Neo-Cans". Remember you heard it here first!)
