As Tabin points out, the revolution is taking place with thanks to American blogger Ed Morrissey of Captain's Quarters, who single-handedly helped blow the lid off the Canadian liberals' culture of corruption.

All eyes will be on the Canadian blogosphere today as election events unfold. Stay tuned to these:

The Western Standard
Small Dead Animals
Stephen Taylor
Angry in the Great White North
Damian Penny
Blogging Tories

Check out Andrew Coyne as well. He's got an op-ed in the NYTimes about the impending small earthquake in Canada.

Also:

David Warren Online
CTV Election News
CBC's Canada Votes website
Mark Steyn on the election via Pajamas Media.

And Ed Morrissey will be liveblogging the elections beginning at 6pm Central Time tonight.

As a Canadian citizen outside Canada, with a blog written and hosted outside Canada, I can say quite openly that I will be posting whatever early results I come across. Anyone who wants to discuss the election without talking about how many seats the Martinis and Harp Seals have each won in Newfoundland is welcome to join the discussion...and don't forget to check out the excellent Canadian blogosphere, especially sites like Blogging Tories, Small Dead Animals, Stephen Taylor, Angry in the Great White North, and Damian Penny

It appears that US-hosted websites ProAlberta and Captain's Quarters will be wilfully violating the Canada Elections Act and posting early results.

Your election-watching guide

PoliticsWatch has a fine list of bellwether ridings and other ones-to-watch. Key early warning signals: Fredericton, Pontiac, Sarnia-Lambton. The Tories will need those to win. If they take St. Paul's and Etobicoke-Lakeshore, they're in majority territory.

The Great Colby has his own list of notables here and here, including Winnipeg South Centre and Kenora, two ridings very near and dear to me.

The Globe's Rheal Seguin rounds up the best prospects for the Tories in Quebec.

Finally, the excellent ElectionPolls blog has ranked the ridings in order of their likelihood of voting Tory, just like the pros do.

I am greatly relieved that we've won. It is a narrow victory that exceeded the expectations of November. I am disappointed that we allowed our expectations to go to the moon in the last few weeks. It showed a lack of discipline that we need to work on for the next election.

E-Day

Michelle Malkin is doing a nice job of sending her sizable audience to get the latest in Canadian election coverage.

And while we wait, a thoughtful piece by Pieter Dorsman on the future of the left in Canada.

Update: Kate Axworthy moment: When you're working as a scrutineer at a polling station and some guy rides up in a sled and votes in a full face helmet and gear - and everyone knows who he is - you might be in Saskatchewan.

Clear thinking by a bright light

image Speaking of the CTV (I was—try to keep up), while still in my the Conservative Party won the election yesterday glow (and near collapse from mental exhaustion), I just caught an interview with Tasha Keiriddin, who co-wrote a book that has been featured here for some time now, called Rescuing Canada’s Right—BLUEPRINT FOR A CONSERVATIVE REVOLUTION.

It is an excellent book even if I can’t spell the last names of the authors Tasha Kheiriddin and Adam Daifallah the first time every time to save my life.  Buy it through this site and it will keep this site going for another 1/500,000 of a second.

Watch the video clip I made.  It’s not a funny one this time, just for your conservative-oriented information and forward-thinking purposes.

Consensus

Something I heard over radio a few days ago about "voodoo economics" brought to mind this short exerpt of an article by L. Brent Bozell III, written in 1994. I decided to dig it up and republish it here, because it's good, because I feel like it, and because - as I wrote on Monday - some things never change. From "30 years of the Best Of Imprimis".

One can subscribe to the invaluable Imprimis, a publication of Hillsdale College for free. (There's a link off the main page). Hillsdale College was founded by Freewill Baptists in Spring Arbor, Michigan and became the first institution of its kind to prohibit in its charter all discrimination based on race, religion, or sex - in 1850.

Wonder if any of the Libs. in this country are in cahoots?

One thing apparent to me was how the Libs ( Grits ) in Canada seemed to borrow heavily on tactics used by the left in America, i.e., "smear & fear."

Although I'm not sure this was active collaboration, or merely a case of like-thinking individuals thinking alike.

No great matter- Paul Martin, AKA "he who will sing like a 250lb. canary when the investigations begin" is out, and the pleasant-looking new Prime Minister is arming border guards. A touch of common sense has returned to our northern neighbors, and it is welcome.
