The Negatives Of Homosexuality on Society
Posted on 04/08/2005 11:10:27 AM PDT by RedBeaconNY
Hey FReepers- I am a sophomore in high school. For English class, I have to write a debatable paper, and I have chosen to write on the various negative effects of homosexuality and the homosexual movement on American society. I was wondering if you could direct me towards some credible sources on the subject- including a list of laws passed for/against homosexuality, opinions, stats, etc. Your opinions are welcome too- all's fair in an opinionative paper ;) Thank.
TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; Your Opinion/Questions

This is ignorance at its worst. If 1% of the population is homosexual, that means 3 million homosexuals. This homophile cites an example of 2 people to base your argument on. This has to be a joke or this must come from the offspring of a brother and sister from Amherst, Mass.

Good luck! I'll be surprised if your paper isn't banned, or if it doesn't get you suspended for "hate crimes". You're not allowed to criticize or debate homosexuality any more. ;-)

Check out NAMBLA on Google. NAMBLA is the acronym for North American Man Boy Love Association. NAMBLA and pedophilia are what's hidden inside the Trojan Horse of the gay agenda (No pun intended and no offense to USC fans). It's what the gay agenda proponents don't want you to know as they muscle their way into public school curriculum.

You hit on a key point, but one I believe the left will be more than happy to address when the first increment of their plan--universal gay marriage--is in place (pray it never happens). Namely: it isn't "fair" that "loving" gay couples can't perpetuate their "family" (NB I am washing my hands after every keystroke) and thus ensure their "values" in the "evolution of society." The result will be another increment seeking universal adoption for gay couples and preferential treatment in medically controlled conception.
But it gets even worse...since the government has it's hand in medical science and adoption, how much of a stretch will it be to laws protecting the children in which the government now has a vested interest? And what about savvy businesswomen who become surrogate baby factories? How long until government, to protect their financial investment and of course "the children" then decide who can and cannot rear children? Slippery slope...yes. But we see how these people operate.

That reminds me of what was supposed to be a letter to one of the advice columnists:
"Dear Ann,
Two women have moved into the apartment across the hall from mine. They're very athletic, and they never seem to have any men over. Do you think they could be Lebanese, and what should I do about it?"

You are addressing me in the third person I believe. In my life I have known as friends or directly with 10 to 12 homosexuals, men and women. Currently, three of our close friends are homosexual. We al;so have another homosexual couple who live down the block and are close neighbors.
I used to consistently read some of the crap posted here under the name of "science."
My point is that homosexuals have individula rights just like all of us and the constant blaring of the sirens here is mostly just propaganda to get us to scorn all of them..

For example, from post 60: Each gay person is virtually a walking petri dish for the creation of new and more virulent diseases such as AIDS, or the invigoration and revitalization of previously dormant diseases such as tuberculosis.

I do agree with you in principal, but I'd rather go thru college being a "Reaganite" than a homophobic nazi.
My point is that he is going to be facing a very ugly situation and word spreads fast. He's going to get a label that may cause him alienation for a long time. Not just him but his family and friends.
There's a time to stand & fight, and for him, this just may not be the right time. Right cause ... wrong time.

there is a list of health problems of gays that are not well known -- about the right level for a high school debate.
Average life-span of a gay male: 44 years
Average life-span of a gay female: 49 years
% of gay men in the general population: 1.8%
% of HIV carriers that are gay: 60%
% of gay men that contract venereal disease: 75% (vs 17%, general pop)
% of gay men that contract a VD annually: 40% (vs 2%, general pop)
% of gay men who are addicted to drugs: 51% (vs 7%, general pop)
% of gay men who have a major psychological disorder: 40% (vs. 3%, general pop)
% of gay men who are infected with:
Amebiasis: 35% (Inflamation of the rectum)
Giardiasis: 20% (chronic diarrhea, nausea)
Gonorrhea: 60%
Shigellosis: 15% (colonic and intestinal ulcers)
Chlamydia: 10%
Syphilis: 30%
"Crabs": 69%
Condylomata: 60% (anal warts)
Scabies: 22%
Herpes: 15%
Hepatitis A: 16%
Hep B: 27%
HIV +: 30% (As high as 50% in San Francisco)
AIDS: 10%
Seems to be a pretty safe lifestyle to me.
This was posted by fluffy in comment #49; later, in comment #60, he gives references for these statistics.
That is the individual health issue.
Then there are the public health issues. HIV was originally called GRID, and spread through the US initially primarily by promiscuous gay men. They refused to close gay bath houses which were the primary transmission sites in San Francisco. They refused to allow the traditional public health tracing schemes to limit the spread of infectious diseases because it impinged on their sexual 'privacy'. They demanded the right to donate blood, thus infecting thousands of hemophiliacs with HIV, and in fact killing them. They refused to even take tests to find out if they had HIV, because then they would could have been held responsible for passing on the infection. They labeled discriminatory laws which criminalized knowingly infecting another person with HIV. HIV migrated out of this pool of infected people into the general population both by transmission by bi-men to women, and to drug users via shared needles. It is safe to say that had public health measure used for every other infectious disease been applied to HIV, it would not have been the problem it is today; and that this failure can be laid at the feet of the gay activists. Most of this is documented in both the film "and the band played on ..." and in the book on which it was based.
That was then, this is now.
Gays have stopped using condoms because, after all, HIV/AIDS is now just a chronic condition, not a fatal one.
Now let's talk about economics. When someone is found to have HIV, they are placed on SSI, which allows them to get the HIV treatment drugs payed by the taxpayers.
The only country that has controlled its HIV infection completely is ... Cuba. Cuba put them all in a "camp", and imposes a death penalty if an HIV infected person has sex with someone who is not infected.

I disagree, if that is a stance everyone took then we'd stand for nothing, in a non-life or death situation there is never a good time to retreat.
Again my favorite quote: "All that is necessary for evil to win is for good men to do nothing."
Evil maybe a strong word for some in reference to homosexuality, to some it is to others it is a nuisance of life. Whatever. My point you owe it to yourself to do what you think is right. If he wants to tackle this topic then my hat is off to him. He should not avoid it becuase he is afraid of a bad grade or being labeled a "nazi" or whatever.
I can live with a negative moniker( if nazi is the worst then I fared better than being called a homosexual ) better than I can with the negative social and medical issues that surround "ass surfing".

Hey ed, scrip...look, bisigh says your science is crap and propaganda. Guess that argument is over then.
Funny it comes on a thread asking about the negatives of homosexuality all the while on a conservative web site that is in complete disagreement to the homosexual agenda.
I think we've got an old pro-sodomy troll here.

That is exactly right. I forgot to mention the importance of this issue in the emergence of more virulent infectious agents produced by AIDS patients for the rest of the population. This might be a bit beyond a HS student as well as yourself. However, if you have any background in immunology and the mechanism of action of antibiotics, you know this to be the truth. I never met a liberal that let scientific facts get in the way of an emotional appeal.

Good luck with that. I hope you realize that the teacher will not only flunk you but probably accuse you of committing a hate crime as well and get you expelled from school to boot.
Of course homosexually is totally unnatural and a crime against nature but the US school system ain't even gonna see it that way!
