Hey FReepers- I am a sophomore in high school. For English class, I have to write a debatable paper, and I have chosen to write on the various negative effects of homosexuality and the homosexual movement on American society. I was wondering if you could direct me towards some credible sources on the subject- including a list of laws passed for/against homosexuality, opinions, stats, etc. Your opinions are welcome too- all's fair in an opinionative paper ;) Thank.
What about Darwin's natural selection? Homosexual couples can not pass on their genes so they are naturally selected for extinction. All the homo coddling disrupts this natural process.
You're setting yourself up for a lot of grief.
I know many women who identify themselves as Lesbian (although none of them look Greek). Every one of them claims she was born that way. However, every one of them was sexually abused as a very young child.
I'll second that.
Turn-page paper bump. Please no diaramas.
Try Google.
Outstanding reference since schools can't get beyond Darwin's theories.

This pretty much agrees with my recollection of newspaper accounts of what was happening.
How about the book, "Men who Beat the Men who Love Them..", D. Island and P. Letier's report on domestic violence in the gay community. It's twice that of the rest of the population.
How about Mark Lehmann's "End of the Rainbow."?
How about an average life expectancy of age 41, if they don't have AIDS? And given such a short life, who's going to take care of all the adopted kids they leave behind?
If you have the time, find a copy of the book: "Exclusion; the case against gays in the military." Author - Maj. Mellisa Wells-Petry.
This book is excellent for describing why the military is correct to exclude gays. You can extrapolate a lot of the information ... and it becomes quite apparent why the gay lifestyle is harmful to society at large.
Also .... if smoking is harmful and why we must pass laws (sue tobacco companies, limit smoking, etc.), then we need to consider that smoking decreases life by approximately 7 years. The average lifespan for a man is shortened from 77 years to 70 years. This is 7 years off of a retired person's life. 7 years not drawing social security or medicare.
On the other hand, homosexuality shortens the lifespan by 35 years. (5 times worse than smoking.) Life span is shortened from 77 years to 42 years. Asuming retirement at age 65, society looses 23 years of productive work, taxpaying contribution, etc. Also, medical costs due to HIV/AIDS is much higher than medical care to smokers.

umm are you attending public school? If so I'd suggest a change of topic, unless you don't care about your grade.
Good luck
I have to agree with a previous poster that said that you'll be setting yourself up for a lot of grief. I just hope we don't end up reading about you in a FR thread entitled: "Young FReeper attacked in English class for dissenting opinion." If you stiil want to pursue your topic, just do a Google search on the term "Bug-chaser". The news articles related to that alone should give you a fair amount of information to make a decent start. Good luck.
If I were you, I'd switch to another subject. This is an un-PC subject and in the ultra-liberal schol systems you will find yourself in a lot of hot water. A the very least you will be labeled a homophobe. If something anti-gay related were to occur anywhere in your town, especially your school, you would be the first person questioned.
The liberal faculty will probably want to send you to counseling for "sensitivity training".
You don't really want this heat on you, do you?
You are touching here on one of the fundamental flaws in logic that the left will simply not seriously address.
If you want more about them let me know. In general there's a lot of excoriating of homosexuals on the FR and the rights and characteristics of some good people get forgotten in the mob mentality to fight the evil agenda.
Thanks, I agree. Some gay people are good people, and some aren't. Just like everyone else.
