Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

Just going to have a cup of tea before I prepare my evening meal. Last night was nice going out for a meal with friends; first time for a while that I ate something that I had not prepared LOL.

Actually, I am desperately trying to g-a-i-n weight for the first time in my life -- eat often small amounts of calorie-laden things, and still getting nowhere.

What a lovely group of ladies!
We so love and appreciate the glimpses of English life you give us, snugs!

I have a lot of English blood flowing in me, although most of those
emigrated to America in the 1600's --

Moving slow this fine Friday morning ... cold and gray outside my window.

Managed to watch about half the Pope's funeral mass before sleep overcame me. I knew I wouldn't last through the entire mass, and wanted to fall asleep listening to the Latin, and chants and songs .... but the network newsies on all channels kept talking over it ... can't stand Sheppard Smith's voice, so I had the tube on CNN for the first time in ages.

Still, in spite of my petty irritation, it was a beautiful farewell to a great man.

Wishing all the Finest a very fine weekend ... and toss a big Thank You to our Host and Hostesses for another week of good vibes, and good coffee.

Thank you for your kind words I try to find photos that reflect everyday normal life in both my town and England in general so that you have an idea of what it "really" is like here rather than what is the common perception of England. As with everywhere tastes and variations of life vary from area to area so mainly what you see from me reflect the south east area of England.
