Theresa Marie Schindler... May Daily Thread 2005 CALL TO ACTION: Our Fight for Justice Continues
Various Sources ^ | April 3, 2005 | floriduh voter

Posted on 04/03/2005 5:19:05 PM PDT by floriduh voter

Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.

I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.

There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.

The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.

I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.

Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.

PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.

Thanks, FV

"I hate to say it but I do think we have to selectively target a few of our own."

I'm not quite sure what your post means. Please expound.

:)

We have to target some select Republicans for losses at the ballot box. I've been saying this for quite awhile.

I think we should also call Florida Senator Mel Martinez. While Delay's on the House side, we need someone with us on the Senate side. Mel Martinez may actually join us since per "sun" President Bush is starting to back Delay.

Of course, this all makes me sick because Terri's been murdered and millions of folks gave everyone in the executive branches, US Congress, Fla Legislature, Jeb Bush and USDOJ,DCF, etc, plenty of information about the situation in Pinellas County, FL.

They can't act like they had no idea now but hey, if IMPEACHMENT OF GREER and an investigation of Judge Whittemore gets on the table, that's not redemption but it's a step in the right direction.

Wish we could replace the RINOs in the primaries, which is the reason that I joined the Republican Party (to vote in the primaries).

Here's a quote from the White House spokesman, McClellan: "Majority Leader DeLay is someone the president considers a friend. And he is someone he has worked closely with to get things done in Washington."

P.S.

Scott McClellan also said that the president hopes to keep working with DeLay.

I am so glad to read this.

I wish our President would get every nuance, even if it takes an entire day out of his life, to fully understand the efforts the Schindler's made to have michael schiavo questioned about his grotesque, cruel, vile and compassionless guardianship actions in the years after he got the malpractice money.

It was the breaking of the guardianship laws of conduct that caused and made possible the florida judiciary decree that 'terri must die'.

Were our President to speak to a nation that had to stand by helplessly and know that police stood over Terri to prevent her parents and siblings from offering her water, A LOT WOULD CHANGE, and FAST!

If only there were a way for our President to understand how much Terri's fight to live, the fact that she had to live in the conditions her guardian demanded, without sunshine upon her face, without comfort, with no hope of therapy or home visits to her parents, outraged and hurt the hearts of so many of us...changing us forever.

Were our President to speak to the issue of the Hospice organization or ANY organization founded to help the terminally ill, now being used as an euthanasia home depot for the death of those who are deemed 'never going to improve' from their disability, MUCH WOULD CHANGE.

Our President could do much to bring to bear the importance of the sanctity of life, speaking to the Weimer Republic in the 30's in Germany...where euthanasia (called mercy killings) began on the mentally disabled, first. Long before it progressed to the homeless, institutionalized, disabled, homosexuals, political opponents and finally, the jewish people who were deemed racially inferior.

It is time to shine a light on HOSPICE as well as a judiciary that opts for death over life when great matters of imbalance and unfairness are evident.

Our laws are designed to provide for the rights of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN CITIZEN, DISABLED, INFIRM, HEALTHY, ILL or whatever, as stated in our consititution.

Terri was denied her constitutional rights on so many levels it hurts.

Great post.

Judge Greer broke the law, and neither Jeb Bush nor George Bush, had the courage to enforce the law.

WHAT if a judge rules against the Constitution, are we STILL supposed to go by his ruling? We definitely should not.

"good for you" - if I live through this. Haven't had a headache in years but one's coming on tonight.

Just in case I go blind, die, or something, I cut my birthday cake two days in advance.

Interesting find (that may have no bearing on Terri - we'll see) SCOTUS reversed its decision from "valuing tradition of life" (Washington State voters approved assisted suicide) in 1997, to stating that such matters were State issues in 1998 - evidently because the Roe vs. Wade decision would have then been unjustifiable.

As you recall, the woman, "Roe", appealed to SCOTUS invalidate the abortion law not long ago. SCOTUS refused. God forbid innocent babes' lives be valued, or women learn to say "no." /end sarcasm

I remembered to buy 2 ink cartridges today, but forgot more paper. For once, that's a blessing. 'nite

DeLay - big deal. Why doesn't anyone jump on Harkin and his wife's cushy position? Or J.D. Hayworth and his Mary? And how did Dole's Elizabeth get the head position of the Red Cross, then make it to Senator?

pc93 wrote: What if Delay really doesn't care and he is just grandstanding?

For what it's worth, I totally believe Tom Delay. Also, why on earth would Delay be grandstanding? He's standing up there getting hit in the head with all the MSM has to throw at him.

For days now, Delay is getting blasted for speaking the truth about Terri. I just don't understand what's in it for him, except the fact that he cares about life and is as sick as we are about the murder of Terri. Delay is speaking the truth and it's not popular with the powers that be.. ie.. Frist and company.

Delay has been the topic of conversation with all the MSM talking heads. Just this past morning on the IMUS show, Senator Dodd was on, going on and on about how terrible it is what Delay said. Well, I've got news for Senator Dodd. You buddy are on the wrong side of the fence.

Grandstanding... no, I do NOT think so. Delay has had plenty of time to back peddle. I've not heard of him backing down once little bit. This is the most important issue our country is facing. What good is anything, if the people of this country have to fight against Dehydration for their loved ones. Someone on another thread said people should move on and forget about this. I doubt any of us will ever, in our entire lifetime, forget what happened in Florida on March 18th, 2005.

I truly believe, Rep Tom Delay tried his best, to save Terri, which is more than I can say, about many so called politicans.

The pay is up there. I'll say that. But frankly, I'd just be glad to see someone who doesn't actually break the law [with some civil disobedience and self-defense exceptions].

Awesome! Thanks for the ping.

Should bodies start being exhumed, and lawsuits be brought against the Hospice, doctors, staff, and board members, Hospice could be bankrupt.

How many victims have been cremated?

I think there are a few people here who will find the link regarding stalking as intersting as I have.

It's Florida Times Union, can't post the whole thing

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/041305/met_18463667.shtml
THere are a couple of pics at the link and they posted this video javascript: var newWin = window.open('http://www.jacksonville.com/cgi-bin/video/play.cgi?id=050412174614','050412174614','menubar=no,status=no,toolbar=no,location=no,menubar=no,width=700,height=650,resizable,left=150,top=10,screenX=150,screenY=10,scrollbars=no');

"We have bonded to people in Jacksonville," Bob Schindler told 700 to 800 attendees at Tuesday's memorial Mass for their daughter at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church downtown.

"The fight's not over," Mary Schindler, 63, said. "We're going to keep fighting for people so it doesn't happen to anybody else again."

Between 700 and 800 people joined Bob and Mary Schindler, parents of Terri Schiavo, Tuesday for a memorial Mass at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown Jacksonville.
BOB MACK/The Times-Union
The Rev. Conrad Cowart preached during the Mass that Christians can do their part in this fight by living lives of faith and by being more vocal in causes that support "the culture of life."

"We can't let this culture of death take over our beloved country," he said.

Cowart compared Schiavo to Pope John Paul II, who died April 2 after years of illness.

"Both suffered and we were helpless to save them," Cowart said.

And both were role models in the way they died, he said.

"Terri Schiavo left a great legacy: Because of her, many people are closer to God," Cowart said. "Let us go out and proclaim the gospel of life."
