Terri Schiavo autopsy completed Her parents, husband planning separate funeral arrangements Saturday, April 2, 2005 Posted: 1540 GMT (2340 HKT) http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/04/02/schiavo.ap

TAMPA, Florida (AP) -- The autopsy of Terri Schiavo has been completed, and the body is ready for release to her husband, who plans to cremate her remains and bury the ashes in an unspecified family plot.

Results from the autopsy, which was completed Friday, will not be released for several weeks, according to the medical examiner's office.

Michael Schiavo has said he hopes the autopsy will settle questions about his wife's medical condition, but experts differ on whether that will happen. He declined to comment Friday.

Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, and Michael Schiavo spent Friday planning separate funerals for the 41-year-old woman, who died Thursday -- nearly two weeks after her feeding tube was removed

Michael Schiavo's family has said he plans to take the cremated remains to Pennsylvania, where Terri Schiavo grew up, but her parents and siblings had wanted to bury her body in Florida so they can visit her grave.

David Gibbs, the Schindlers' attorney, said there have been no further discussions between the two parties about the remains. The Schindlers do not plan to press the issue in court, he said.

"The court has already determined that (Michael Schiavo) will control the burial decisions," Gibbs said.

Michael Schiavo's brother, Scott Schiavo, had said Thursday that the Schindlers might not be informed of the burial location near Philadelphia because his family did not want to turn it into a media spectacle.

However, Michael Schiavo has been ordered by the court to disclose the location of the burial site to the family and inform them of any memorial service he plans.

He just knew the news was all over him for the way he mishandled the case and didn't want things to look any worse for him.

Well, Judas did try giving back the 30 pieces of silver.

It's disrespect for the whole catholic religion not to allow the catholic parents something of her earthly remains to comfort them if for no other reason.

There's been a lot of discussion here about Michael's attorney being caught up in 'scientology.' Surely you can see, that simply because someone's relative's religion specifies thus or so is no reason to abrogate the law. The RCC can hold any ceremony they wish for Terri, with or without a bone chip or a lock of hair. [Hint: this is 2005.]

Legally, he was her husband, and had all rights as such. No matter what you think. It's what the law thinks that matters. Adultry? That means nothing this day and age, thanks to the erossion of morality in this country. Those are the facts. The man has needs too. Women use that as an excuse all the time as well.

I'm an anti-feminist traditional woman of the most vocal nature and even I find your remarks repugnant. Nobody wanted to stop Mikey from screwing his way around Florida to "meet his manly needs." He did plenty of that before he shacked up with Ms. Centonze in or around 1995. No one has really even objected to his serial adultry.

People object to his refusal to divorce his wife and/or give up legal control over her ESPECIALLY after he planted his manly seed in Ms. Centonze not once but twice. But Mikey wanted his cake and to eat it , too and you defend this pig and then talk to the rest of us about "morality." Sheesh.

It's in the testimony of the one quack doctor who didn't look at her scan before he opened his yap.

And yes, the doc did know she was boliemic. I don't know how or when Micheal knew it, could possibly be later, but thats what he sued over.

And you think going from 200 to 110 is healthy by puking up everything you eat? Sorry, people die doing that all the time. She in no small part caused her own death. ( I consider her death to be 1990)

Anyways, thems the facts, I'm not saying the court thing was right, but I'm not going to pretend that she had any chance or recovery either. Not after 15 years staring at the ceiling 24 hrs a day, and scans showing her brain dissolving into liquid.

Things could have been handled much differently, there was no rush to do anything, as she was not suffering, time was the one thing everyone had but failed to use.
Terri was tragedy, the courts were a tragedy, and the mess now is a tragedy.

I think the book - when a Mark Ferman or Dominick Dunne writes it - will be a blockbuster!

You've got your facts straight. I too look forward to seeing a book from Fuhrman or Dunne. One way or another the truth will be on the record. These fools in Florida left a trail a mile wide.

Funny the picture you paint sounds more like 1984.

They could have waited till emotions cooled, even done a few more tests just to satisfy the Schindlers, help them come to see the facts. Cooler heads could have prevailed.

Would that it were so. Unfortunately, the 'passion' you see displayed here day after day after day shows me that the another 15 years of 'tests' and 'therapy' wouldn't have convinced the assembled multitude here -- or the Schindlers. This was about defending a priori presuppositions, not -- unfortunately -- about Terri. That's why there is so much anger.

As it seeps out, they are really unhappy here that 20% of the American population has living wills -- and thanks to their handling of Terri, millions more each day -- and want the very same life-ending that Terri ultimately had if they ever find themselves in Terri's condition.

A storm-wrought line of damage to property and life is a tragedy.
THIS is an atrocity.

"In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre" Matthew 28:1."

Since Jesus was the only one who would actually arise from the dead, I don't think it would be considered idolatry to worship at the Sepulchre.Personally, I don't have an issue with people visiting graves, but when I became a fundamentalist Christian, it put this all into perspective for me.

He won't do either. He will get rid of them (down the toilet, dust in the wind, whatever) as soon as possible. He doesn't want any lingering evidence of any kind around.

Have you ever seen the remains of a cremated body? The so-called ashes are like pieces of rock.

In my opinion, he will have to lay them to rest "somewhere", because the Schlinders will want to know where, and I believe their lawyer will follow up on the whereabouts of Terri's remains.

"Breathing" does not equate to "living." "Living" means retention of previous cognitive faculties. Poor Terri had previously lost hers. She died 15 years ago. Only the shell 'lived' on.

So, you have redefined what we medically accept as death and then determined some lives, however minimal, should not be allowed to continue.

I'm not defending him, specificly. I'm just pointing out the way it is in this country. He was able to be the way he is because ... well you know why.

The point is LEGALLY, he was untouchable.

Lecturing you on morality? where? Gezzz.

I don't know how some of these Freepers believe Skeevo. If I'm not sure I don't post. Sometimes I'll go without posting for months. BUT he's such an obvious fraud. Did you see him on softball Larry King. Larry King, the show the most guilty go and look good. He even blew that show!

Freepers...forget the medical records...forget the rights of a husband... THIS IS ALL ABOUT WHETHER "MICHAEL" IS BELIEVABLE!

Terri was Catholic. But Mikey didn't get the last laugh on this one point. Terri was included in the mass for Pope John Paul II before she was cremated. And she was included in the mass yesterday in DC. Probably many more, also.

Her lock of hair wasn't needed for the mass. Her parents wanted it as a remembrance. So, naturally, Mikey denied them.

Did Terri have STD?

It seems VERY LIKELY that Terri presented lots more than a cardiac arrest just after her collapse...so many of her labs were normal...a bunch of consultants were called in ASAP to attempt to figure out what happened to her.

Michael was screwing around long before he smashed terri that evening...and I believe he did...all evidence points to it...mr odometer checker himself...master controller of those weaker than himeself....class A sociopathic personality who flipped from job to job to job as he was continuously fired for his poor anger management skills...mr bully ( he is probably under endowed if you catch my drift)....mr loser...was NO DOUBT screwing around early on...because...

Terri presented, at the time of her collapse, vaginal problem being treated with cream, that was, upon a gyn consultant called in (as were neurology consultants, INFECTIOUS disease cosultant, osteo consultant, and on and on...GO READ THE DISMISSAL REPORT FROM HUMAMA HOSPITAL...IT BREAKS YOUR HEART

But you get to see the pdf document for real...and it HAS RIGHT THERE IN GLARING NOTATION....CAT SCAN NORMAL....at least for the first few days of her stay....SOMETHING HAPPENED ( it sure did...ms realized she was not in bad enough shape and probably DID something about it, pronto, could not risk her coming around to the point where she could tell everyone about HIM-imo!

But PLEASE NOTE...the GYN consultant, notably Doctor Meena Jain, noted terri's vaginal situation and ORDERED a vaginal douche with eetadine and recommended an immediate Flagyl 500 mg IV...(intravenous drip) ---This is a med commonly used to fight against an STD...correct?

So did Terri present to the hospital with an STD.....andif so..........wonder where she got it? (NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

No wonder michael kept talking about her having menstrual problems.........he certainly did NOT WANT THE TOPIC TO WANDER OFF INTO THE STD FIELD!

Will provide link to the nine page humana discharge papers on Terri if anyone wants to READ about the HELL she went through!

We have no idea that's the case, as Michael stopped all therapy in 1992. Had he continued therapy, Terri might have recovered completely for all anyone knows. And when it comes to making such diagnoses, doctors have been notoriously wrong.

Furthermore, doctors, nurses, family, friends and priests ALL said Terri responded to them. I guess THEY were ALL lying.
