Pinellas Park, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Michael Schiavo plans to keep the location of where he will bury Terri Schiavo's ashes a secret and will prevent Terri's family from knowing. His brother told the media on Thursday that Terri's family would show up and cause a spectacle if they found out.
"If Mike knew they would come in peace, he would have no problem with it," Scott Schiavo, Michael Schiavo's brother, told AP.
A complete autopsy will be performed on Terri's body by the local county medical examiner's office. Once that is completed, Michael plans to have Terri's body cremated and her ashes buried in Pennsylvania.
Scott told the Associated Press the ashes will be buried in a burial plot left to Michael by an aunt and uncle.
"We've already said goodbye," Bobby Schindler said when asked about not knowing where his sister would be buried.
Concerning Michael's latest decision snubbing his family, Bobby said, "He's been doing this kind of stuff for 15 years. What would make him stop now?"
Terri's parents fought for years to stop the cremate, citing Terri's Catholic religious beliefs, and asked Judge George Greer to allow Terri to be buried in Florida, closer to her family. Greer declined both requests.
Terri's parents and her family did not discuss the burial issue during their remarks to the media following Terri's death. However, Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who has been helping the family during the last two weeks, said they would hold a Catholic mass for Terri even though they will not have her body present.
The mass will take place sometime next week.
A spokesman for the Pinellas County medical examiner's office said Terri's body would be given to Michael on Friday for the cremation process to begin.
The autopsy on Terri's body may yield a preliminary look in two to three days but the office will not have final results for two to three weeks.

He may be trying to prevent her memory and burial site from becoming a pro-life monument and memorial site. More likely, she was beaten and the destruction of the body of a woman murdered is the standard m.o. in a homicide.
"I don't blame him for that decision. Since Terri's private situation was whipped up by the Schindlers into a "cause celebre", her burial place would become a pilgrimage site if it were known."
Good point. Don't know what went on between the families, but their ticked big time.
It would be a shame if they couldn't finally find peace between themselves...particularly as time passes and perhaps moves from the national spotlight.

Excuse me, No one let Terri die,disconecting her from life support. She was murdered by starvation and dehydration. She was doped up on morophine. This makes me wonder if she was in a vegetative state. You wouldn't treat a dog like Michael treated Terri. Those two...(words fail me) Shiavo and his live in mistress should be excommunicated from the Catholic church. You would treat a dog the way Shiavo the piggish, homocidal husband treated his wife.

Even her own parents recognized she was "injured" and apparently in a PVS state up until 2 or 3 years ago.

It should be illegal to cremate a Roman Catholic against his or her wishes or the wishes of their family. I am going to urge fellow Catholics on FR to Freep their bishops to make this a reality. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! It's a violation of "freedom of religion."
Put up a direct quote from them saying that she was PVS before you continue any further. In any event, as for medical opinion on the subject, it appears to be divided.
Even so, it is simply not civilised to allow disabled people to be killed. Worse, the basis of this murder was hearsay.

When this SchEE-Ah-Voh character married Terri he had to agree to support her in practicing her faith. He has violated his marriage vows now by denying her a proper Catholic burial. What a creep!

If he really did it, I'd say he's worse than O.J.. It would mean that he planned it for some time, unlike O.J.

No. I doubt that the majority of the "pro life" crowd on here HATES Mikey Shiavo. Like Terri's parents, we can't help but wonder what put a young woman like Terri so suddenly in that condition. . a question that no medical test seemed to answer, except possibly a bone scan test that was withheld from them for a long time. Any reasonable person, even Mikey, would understand their questions could only logically be directed at the only person who was with her at the time.
The "pro death" people on here obviously HATE . . oh, I don't know what . . . LIFE?
In other words, Scott Schiavo is saying, "Shut up you Schindlers."
