REPORT: Famed attorney Johnny Cochran died this afternoon in California following an extended illness... Developing...
Maybe God needed Johnny to defend the State of Florida against the many accusations of state sanctioned murder coming up before the Throne of God at this moment in history. I suspect God has now justified Himself in the judgment sent to Florida last year when four hurricanes hit the state. Wonder if more judgment is now forthcoming?
Paul said, "God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap." The State of Florida and even the federal government are increasingly becoming guilty before God for state sanctioned murder. Man just continues in his refusal to listen!
Pity it wasn't Felos. He'd be in for a hot ol' time!
" Hardly. Johnnie's already filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Him......"
LOL!! Thanks for sharing.
Well, now I guess I have no moral high-ground to stand on when I see the DUnatics rejoicing in Rev. Falwell's illness.
Turns out we are every bit as bad.
Lots of class being shown on this thread. This thread should be pulled before it gets nationwide.
Put me in the no class category.
I celebrate no man's death, but I refuse to shed tears over a shyster lawyer who got a double killer off by playing the race card.
Cochran was just another two bit lawyer who got rich playing on the stupidity and racism of the American public.
Maybe I'm just in a good mood, and of course nil nis bonum and all that, but though I detested Cochran at the time of the OJ trial, with the passing of years I've cut him some slack. He was doing his job, and did it well. The ultimate responsibility was on the jury.
I think that although the trial stirred up bad racial tensions, he in fact was not a racially motivated guy. He just wanted to be famous, get rich, and have fun. Really not the worst guy at all. May he rest in peace.
Don't get me started.
He was a race-baiting lawyer and he basically urged the Simpson jury to ignore the evidence and vote their passions. I believe the phrase was "jury nullification", meaning the jury is free to willingly disregard the evidence, because the defense attorney has tagged it as tainted evidence.
He may be dead, but OJ is still guilty.
In what way?
But life goes on.
I wish I had one of those animated whack-paddle .gif's because you deserve it after that!

Condolences to Johnnie Cochran's family and friends.
He helped a double murderer go free.
I'm really just saying the man does not deserve to be celebrated, even to the slight degree of saying, we're sorry he's dead. I simply see no reason for expressing sorrow for Johnnie Cochran's passing. I agree with you that we should not actually express happiness that he's dead. I wouldn't have even hinted at this, if others hadn't first made what seemed like sorrowful comments about his passing. I would have preferred no discussion at all of this man. But while it's not good to make negative comments about the dead if there's no provocation, I also think it's not good to let inappropriate comments about them pass without a rejoinder.
