This morning two of the main leaders of Terri's fight were arrested. We have been at the Hospice since early Thursday morning.
We helped bail out strangers that made the personal decision to face jail because of the unjust laws and judicial decisions in this case.
We are sitting in our hotel room and just saw two of the leaders get taken to jail. It was the first time I've cried since I've been here.
The people at the vigil are various individuals and groups of caring people from all over America trying to work together to make a difference. You don't see the big names here, just the little people. They could use the support from others that are so affected by Terri and her family's suffering.
I don't even know all the main groups involved, but I did have the opportunity to meet these two pastors that were arrested today. I don't even have the name of one of the pastors. One was Chet Gallagher of OperationSaveAmerica -- www.operationsaveamerica.org
Last night before we left, we got to shake Mr. Schindler's hand. Afterwards my husband said it was more of an honor to shake Mr.Schindler's hand than it would have been to shake Pres. Bush or Gov. Bush's hand.
Why don't you email her and ask her.
I don't need to, I checked the official records. It's just more misinformation from that group.
Gallagher is a former cop - Las Vegas, iirc.
Before he became a white Democrat, Jesse Jackson was opposed to abortion, too. I'm glad he has retained at least a little bit of morality!
Hoping that this does not degenerate the thread. It seemed that you were asking an honest question.
Where did you get that she was a RN in Florida? I didn't read anything in the post that said she was in Florida.
If you're not aware of morphine admistration to bring on death faster....you might think 'bout studying up on it.
I don't know what Jeb could have legally done.
But George Bush should, as I've devoted a previous thread to insisting, have sent in a large force of Federal Marshalls to take Terri into protective custody the MINUTE congress supoeaned her as a witness. This was within his authority and George Greer could have gone and pounded sand.
While he waited for the courts to approve (disapproving, as they could be expected to do) his prerogatives diminished.
It is always better to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I assumed that she was there during this alleged exchange, she doesn't state otherwise and she doesn't say she was on the other side of the nation. She merely relays the exchange as if she was a witness and then signs the letter with an "RN".
"I think people are just angry. The Bushes have done everything possible."
Perhaps "the people" not angry enough...yet. Further, if the Governor, and perhaps even the President, had done everything possible to save this woman's life why is she still dying a slow horrible death? I'm not buying it.
Yes thank you for your response.
How would you know where she was?
Being registered in Washington doesn't mean she could never leave the state.
As I said:
Marines go to Florida with water. Florida concentration camp guards fire on Marines.
Fort Sumpter (where Confederates fired the first volleys in 1861) II in the Cultural Civil War. Good Guys win again in the end.
1.Do you have to be a member of a Church to participate in Mass, and Holy Communion?
2. Do you have to be a member to attend the confessional?
3.Is there an issue in the church for someone in Terri's situation and when she last confessed?
I have on occasion wondered about the rules for Purgatory, will time in the PVS count as time served?
Is Purgatory only for Catholics?
Was the 2nd coming of Jesus when he returned on Easter and established his Church on earth?
Will folks in Purgatory be picked up during the Rapture?
Is it important to have Israel around so God can destroy it?
WFLA radio (won't tell you the nickname some of us down here have for it) is "reporting" this morning of "increased police presence" and about protestors allegedly "trying to rush the police." (Of course, they've had sound bites three different times this week from the Tampa hairdresser who's been out there with the sign cheering on Michael...)
Thank you. In my mind, that settles this one issue.
Thankfully, we've got her credentials as an RN cleared up.
