Terri's Support Leaders Arrested
FR_Addict ^ | Mar. 27, 2005 | FR_Addict

Posted on 03/27/2005 5:58:01 AM PST by FR_addict

This morning two of the main leaders of Terri's fight were arrested. We have been at the Hospice since early Thursday morning.

We helped bail out strangers that made the personal decision to face jail because of the unjust laws and judicial decisions in this case.

We are sitting in our hotel room and just saw two of the leaders get taken to jail. It was the first time I've cried since I've been here.

The people at the vigil are various individuals and groups of caring people from all over America trying to work together to make a difference. You don't see the big names here, just the little people. They could use the support from others that are so affected by Terri and her family's suffering.

I don't even know all the main groups involved, but I did have the opportunity to meet these two pastors that were arrested today. I don't even have the name of one of the pastors. One was Chet Gallagher of OperationSaveAmerica -- www.operationsaveamerica.org

Last night before we left, we got to shake Mr. Schindler's hand. Afterwards my husband said it was more of an honor to shake Mr.Schindler's hand than it would have been to shake Pres. Bush or Gov. Bush's hand.

Sad to have to acknowledge that GW II is following in the footsteps of daddy. Wasn't it GW I that coined the term of The New World Order during the first Gulf War. I specifically remember that. People are only fooling themselves if they think we have constitutional rights. Those days are long gone because there is no one in government who will enforce them.

If the Florida state enforcement is actively causing a woman to be starved to death then I'd support the Marines giving them option of standing down or meeting their maker.

I'm with ya. If I was one of the Bushes, I'd send in troops to do the right thing. Jesus died on the Cross for all our sins including mine, if He did that for me, the least I could do is put my political career at stake and risk it to do the right thing. Heck, I'm sure I could find armed voluteers here in Pittsburgh where I could probably load up my Explorer and buddy's F-150 to go in and do the right thing, but the very bad side of that is it would be vigilantism, so we do need to have someone like a Jeb Bush, President Bush, or even the sherriff to take action since they do have the power of the system behind them. If I or any of us would do that on our own, all we would get in a potential blood bath although I must confess, and confession is good for the soul, the thought behind that did cross my mind. I'm seething with rage and extreme sadness now, we need leadership yet there is dang little of it. I wish Ronald Reagan was President, I don't think he'd put up with this crap.

I think it was Proverbs 29:2 (IIRC, it'll take a while to search the Bible on my PDA so feel free to correct me) said, "When the righteous rule, the people rejoice, when the wicked rule, the people groan."

It's one thing for Judge Greer to condemn her body to death, but to condemn her soul to hell should be considered reaching beyond his powers.

I doubt very seriously whether something like that is within his powers. But it's instructive as to his mindset ... obviously he's concerned that Terri won't be quite as uncommunicative in the other world.

I would think that a couple of M1A1 Abrams tanks and a dozen Hummv's mounted with Ma Deuce would persuade Florida LEO' to stand down.

Dang, you sound like my except I always said, "I would send in Hueys and M-60 tanks." What does the Florida Nat'l Guard have, do they still use M-48/60 tanks or do they have M1's? I know a friend in Oregon in the Nat'l Guard there and they still use the M-60 tank. I know a bit OT, but I'm really curious on that.

I was down there yesterday and was amazed by the police presence. Believe me, none of us were a threat. There were, unfortunately, not many of us - probably less than 200 at any time - and we included people in wheelchairs who were using assisted breathing devices, older people, families with children, Catholics kneeling in front of the Blessed Sacrament (displayed in a monstrance next to a telephone pole), and Protestants singing together (along with Catholics) - and a host of people who couldn't be identified as belonging to any particular "group." A truly dangerous crowd, right?

But we were treated as if we were. Obviously, the local government has a seriously guilty conscience.

That said, I think that if thousands of people had shown up, or if even the Catholic bishops had turned up (which, to their eternal shame, they did not), Gov. Bush might have felt he had the political support to do what was necessary. Remember, Greer had already forbidden the local police to let DCF take Terri, and they were prepared to physically prevent her from being taken, so there probably would have been bloodshed. It would not have been pretty.

My whole feeling is not that it is the Bushes who have failed, but the American people. Black children were escorted to school only because blacks were out in the street massively demonstrating for an end to segregation. On the other hand, when you go to the hospice where Terri is being starved to death, there are more journalists than demonstrators.

Don't the detainees at Gitmo have their so-called religious preferences accomodated?

Can Terri somehow be classified as a terrorist?

Well, it seems day by day, the Constitution is just a piece of yellow paper. I don't know when America really died, some say 1865 after the Civil War, some say 1933 if you believe the New World Order stuff where we are under Admiralty Law, some say much later. I dunno what to think but it really seems to me that America died sometime within the last 30 or 40 years with activist courts.

I don't know about a lot of this anymore, I think after all of this, my mind's hard drive will need a mental defragging. Still, I keep thnking we were making progress, I dunno, I guess if Terri dies, well I hope we can stop it happening from the next guy or gal.

On Murder there is no statutes limmitations and in time there could be someone elected district attorney that would bring charges against those involved in this case and of course they will say they were just doing their Job.

God Bless You for standing watch over Terri.

I wish there existed a Coalition of the Disabled Panthers. Perhaps, then the cowardly cya poll scared politicians would be forced to honor the very laws they pass and force the Judiciary to stop playing King.

Well, we could put panties on her head and take her picture Abu Garib style with a smuggled digital camera. That way, she would have to be kept alive as a material witness. /sarcasm>

Sorry about the dark humor, I need it to keep sane. B-P

Thank you for your efforts, I wish I could have done the same as you but I have very limited means. All I could do is run my mouth and keyboard and e-mail Congress and Jeb Bush. God Bless you. BTW, did you get any pictures?

EXIT PROTOCOL MORPHINE ADMINISTRATION TO TERRI...

March 26, 2005
11:00 PM ET

Dearest Friends of Terri,

I am very distraught this evening. I have contemplated whether to send this information to the people who have remained steadfast and very dedicated in their fight to free Terri from her captors. However, after great consideration, I feel it is only right that I share with you, Terri's supporters, the information I have been given to me this evening by Terri's family.

As we all have come to know, Terri Schindler is a strong woman who has an incredible will to live. Despite the daily inhumane torture that is inflicted upon her by estranged spouse, Michael Schiavo, (the man who has allowed her to lay in a bed with no food and water for the past eight days,) she has been fighting very hard to remain alive. Last Friday, in spite of her not being permitted therapy since 1993, Terri even tried to articulate the words "I Waaaaaa " in a very loud voice, in response to Attorney Weller saying to her, "all you have to do Terri, is tell us you want to live, and this whole thing can be over Terri."

Under normal circumstances, considering how well hydrated and nourished Terri has been due to receiving the balanced nutritional elements in enteral feedings, it would seem reasonable for Terri to live for another week, or so. However, what was reported by her family tonight, has presented my worst fears. Terri's breathing has changed and has recently become very labored. I am assuming this is happening so quickly because of the possible initiation of Woodside's "exit protocol." A protocol which delivers to her nebulized morphine, a narcotic which suppresses respirations. (see attached pdf exit protocol) The "exit protocol" was obviously written to enhance her death process. Woodside claims Morphine was to be administered to provide her with so-called "comfort" measures. Odd, however, they would find it necessary to administer Morphine to a patient who Schiavo and Felos have declared all along has no pain, is without any feelings, and is brain dead. Go figure!

In simple English, it appears they are killing Terri faster than she has the ability to fight to stay alive any longer. Terri's family are physically and emotionally worn out. They feel disappointed and deserted by government leaders who they once supported. They pleaded for help from them to save their daughters life, but were repeatedly turned down by judges who chose to err on the side of death, as opposed to life. Sadly, leaving them alone to stand by and witness their daughter fighting against the inhumane death of starvation and dehydration.

The callous, cruel and bizarre behaviors we have also witnessed from Schiavo in his determination to rapidly kill the wife he claims to love; leads us to assume he may now be on a rapid mission to leave Terri's parents with the memory of her death on Easter.

Please pray that God continues to protect Terri. Pray that He will provide Terri with peace as she struggles to take her final breaths. Please pray that He allows her family to feel confident that they did everything possible to save her life. Please pray that He allows them to know how much she loves them for the valiant fight they have made on her behalf. Please pray that if Terri is forced to take her final breaths, it can be with her family by her bedside and not Michael Schiavo. Pray that someday soon she will be capable of inhaling the beauty of LIFE, in a place where no more harm will come to her.

As Terri now lays taking labored breaths, I myself, am given a sense of peace in knowing if she dies, she will soon be free from Michael ever bringing harm to her again. I will no longer have to worry about what he may do to her; or, how she has had to stay locked up in a room away from her family and the beautiful sounds of the earth we all are able to enjoy every day. I will pray for each of you that you find peace within yourself in knowing you have helped Terri in your own special way.

In the meantime, please know, for as long as Terri is alive and fighting, I will continue to pray for a miracle and will keep on fighting for her until her final breaths are taken. I ask that you all join me in doing the same.

Thank you so much for being an enormous strength for Terri's family. They continue to appreciate the love and dedication you continue to show to Terri, and to each of them.

I will keep you posted.

Respectfully, and with great admiration.

Good Morning.

Perhaps she wasn't an official member of a church? Or she had attended a couple of different ones to find her church home and that led to the situation of her not having an 'official' pastor, preacher, minister, priest or Rabbi.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Still, I think the Bushes could have done more but I think you hit upon something to where the American people failed and that is the reason. Please, please, don't take this as racist, but I remember even my father saying that "Blacks do stick together" on many issues, right or wrong, there is a certain amount of solidarity there. The tactics are good and well proven. Staying on the subject, this case makes me wonder and understand how many Blacks feel when they are shafted by the justice system be it real or perceived as the case may be. With Terri's situation, I think what Jessie Jackson saysa lot, "no justice, no peace" comes to mind. Never thought I would be agreeing with Jessie Jackson, but IIRC, he was against the removal of the feeding tube as well.

Went ot Catholic School growing up, my parents went to the same parish. Not sure that the priest even knew our names. The Catholic priests are not like preachers in the Protestant world. There is not a lot of socializing. Only if you are an alter boy and work closely with the priest do you stand a chance of getting close to him. Sometimes a priest would come to your house but only if it was extraordinary circumstances.

'Can you imagine the hullabaloo that would have followed if a dying Moselm woman was denied religious rights? The left and the advocates for "human rights" would be screaming bloody murder.'

When I was at the hospice there was a protester for M.Schiavo holding up a sign that read:"The Christian right is the taliban of America". Boy that made me mad.
