Terri's Support Leaders Arrested
FR_Addict ^ | Mar. 27, 2005 | FR_Addict

This morning two of the main leaders of Terri's fight were arrested. We have been at the Hospice since early Thursday morning.

We helped bail out strangers that made the personal decision to face jail because of the unjust laws and judicial decisions in this case.

We are sitting in our hotel room and just saw two of the leaders get taken to jail. It was the first time I've cried since I've been here.

The people at the vigil are various individuals and groups of caring people from all over America trying to work together to make a difference. You don't see the big names here, just the little people. They could use the support from others that are so affected by Terri and her family's suffering.

I don't even know all the main groups involved, but I did have the opportunity to meet these two pastors that were arrested today. I don't even have the name of one of the pastors. One was Chet Gallagher of OperationSaveAmerica -- www.operationsaveamerica.org

Last night before we left, we got to shake Mr. Schindler's hand. Afterwards my husband said it was more of an honor to shake Mr.Schindler's hand than it would have been to shake Pres. Bush or Gov. Bush's hand.

I would say 'most' Catholics do not have a personal spiritual adviser. They probably did years ago in the form of a confessor, but that time has long passed. Also, it is not uncommon for younger people to slack off on religious observance and as they mature they come to appreciate the need for a spiritual touchstone.

"When I was at the hospice there was a protester for M.Schiavo holding up a sign that read:"The Christian right is the taliban of America". Boy that made me mad."

A woman is suffering death by slow torture and denied her religious rights. Soon, she will be cremated, forever keeping this scandal a mystery.

I'm amazed at our collective restraint and trying very hard to tell myself it's a good thing.

Okay.

Roman Catholic Monsignor Thaddeus Malanowski and another Catholic priest gave Terri Schiavo last rites, putting a few drops of communion wine in her feeding tube hours before it was removed.

Possible violation of the law! Did the court order the death enhancer? Were the other courts informed?

I'm not sure about the Catholic faith and 'backsliding'.

Would any Catholics on the board mind a few questions?

1.Do you have to be a member of a Church to participate in Mass, and Holy Communion?

2. Do you have to be a member to attend the confessional?

3.Is there an issue in the church for someone in Terri's situation and when she last confessed?

Easter tide is the 50 days within which every Catholic is to receive Communion after going to Confession. (The Sacrament of Reconciliation)

How could a world that so admired and recognized the work of Mother Theresa be turned into sheeple who accept drivel like starvation is a peaceful death? And how could the richest people ever, anywhere argue that they cannot afford to care for the disabled and elderly when for 30,000 years societies have managed to do that with a lot less?

Good morning.
"Going to church without a Preacher or Minister or Priest or Rabbi must be quite an experience."

I'm not religious so I don't speak from experience but I would think that a relationship with one's God shouldn't require a master of ceremonies to be valid or effective.

"Never thought I would be agreeing with Jessie Jackson, but IIRC, he was against the removal of the feeding tube as well."

Do you have a source on that? I'd heard that a few days ago and I was and still am, stunned. Oh, and that it wasn't just Jackson, but the entire Congressional Black Caucus. Haven't been able to verify.

These are not the moral giants of our society, and they oppose Repubs on EVERYTHING. I wonder if their phones are ringing off the wall...?

It was merely lip service.

Centcom is in Tampa and Pensicola base is about an hour away. Tommy Franks could probably execute an invasion and occupation under an order for martial law, if that were the decision taken.

Holy Eucharist is one sacrament and the last rites is another . The latter also includes annointing the body with holy oil.

The real reason is Treason against the Crown of King George.

Ouch! What brought that on?

...The truth, and nothing but the truth.

These two brothers, as are most of those in the congress/senate, part of the corrupt two-party cartel that currently rules our nation. The globalist elite. The little people are of no consequence, don't you know that?

...These people look at themselves as a contemporary monarchy.

Please excuse me for the rant. It's time I go and join my brothers, the American "vigilantes" (as El Presidente' Bush calls them) down on the border to try and help protect life and property because my rulers have no interest in doing so. ...Please don't tell the king.

Do you have to be a member of the church to participate?

*hate to have to add this but these questions are asked out of ignorance and respect. ;) Some 'discussions' lately, have made folks understandably skittish.
