Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
We are working on that, one blog at a time, one talk show host at a time, and we are beginning to have impact. But it is indeed an uphill battle.
I will always be a conservative, but I am changing my party today to the Constitution Party. If push came to shove and it came to a Republican or a Democrat up for the White House, I'd vote Republican. But I will not be affiliated with this party any longer. I can't see the benefit of having Republicans in high places if they don't do anything. Flame away.
They came out right after dark and pushed their way next to us and said "We have you surrounded." The police said that was free speech, not a threat. Well, I viewed it as a threat. Police didn't care. I said I was worried about children being in that tight area. Police said: didn't matter.
Because they are a useless organization now.. I sent them several letter thanking them for allowing men to have control over their wives life and death once again.. for sending the women's movement back to the stone ages..
Wow.
I saw a girl at church yesterday with a sweatshirt that read, "Abortion has killed 1/3 of my generation."
I was proud of her.
"I tremble for my country when I know that God is just"
especially appropriate now..
I know you meant to say he serves a cruel and merciless master.
If you want to save your country, get into the schools and get the secular humanism out. Review the curriculum taught the children and replace it with curriculum that teaches children to value and protect life liberty and property. You think they are being taught American values, but they are not, and generations suceeding us will only be more soul-less, more valueless and more apathetic.
The schools are not alright, the kids are not alright and they will help to lead America to its destruction, because they have never been taught to believe in America or America's founding principles.
I do not say this lightly. What we are watching now is the repudiation of the American way, and if you want to reverse this, the children must be saved from the humanist indoctrination centers we call schools.
When were they in Terri's room?
Wow, reminds me of the great sermon by Johnathan Edwards......." Sinners in the hands of a ANGRY GOD"

I agree with you completely.
Most of us have been lucky enough not have been wrung through the wringers of a court system. We may have felt we were wronged in a case but never to the extent that someone's life was at stake. Does it take a tragedy like this to open our eyes to the flaws in our judicial system? Where we find out that appeals don't count because they are only based on 'did the first judge follow the law?' And any new hearing keeps going before the same judge?
Suddenly I wonder, "is he really innocent?" about those gguys in prison.
IF someone had shot and killed MS 10 years ago, Terri would be safe today.
Can you organize or suggest to folks down there that they march for Terri's civil rights, just like the marches in the 1960s? Take the vigil out into the public, just like the civil rights marches did. March down to the courthouse, get on TV as an active group rather than a passive one.
Profound!
Here's a link where you can access the senators:

We probably still should keep contacting them and also asking them to apply pressure to Jeb Bush.
And there is a thread here where the writer calls Terri "America's cabbage patch doll" and says that because she was bulemic, she had this coming to her. Calls her parents puppy dogs.
