Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Hi...I just got home and wasn't able to get any updates...anything new?
I totally believe in Rep Delay!!!
I hope I will not be disapointed in my belief of this fine man.
The media is now spinning the truth he spoke of last weekend, when he said there are forces who are trying to stop the real conservative movement in the REPUBLICAN party.
I agree with him and doubt I'm wrong. Rep Delay is not afraid of the evil that is attacking him~!!
If we will listen, Delay told us what is going on.
Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You are the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Thank You for standing watch over our beloved Terri ... strengthen her in this hour, O God, as she continues to demonstrate to the world that she wants to live. "Where there's life, there's hope," and as long as You hold sway over her breath, Merciful Father, we will continue to pray that she will be brought back from the brink. Open the eyes of those who look upon her as pitiful ... pierce the hearts of those who look upon her as useless ... thank You that You use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. If they only had the heart of a small child who lovingly cares for the littlest animal. Halt the Merchants of Death in their tracks, O Lord ... deny them their prize ... deny them this mother's child. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...
We're just waiting now. There are more protests and some flailing in desperation. But, mostly, I think, we're just waiting.
Luck and Grace, FV. We'll be praying for you.
No wonder Jeb got scared. Thanks FV.
Heavenly Father, we come before You again acknowledging Your power and Your sovereignty. We take a small measure of hope in FV's report that Terri is still responding. Is it Your will even at this late hour to raise her up? Is there some step that can be taken tomorrow that will turn this horrible execution around?
That's what WE want, Lord, and what her family is pleading You for. We acknowledge that You alone know what is best for Terri, for her family, and for our nation. Perhaps she has already served Your purpose for her here on this earth and You are ready to take her Home to her reward.
But if You still have a purpose for her here, we pray that You will indeed turn the hearts of those who can turn this around. And if that does happen, Oh Lord, we give You all the glory, for only You can preserve her life AND rescue her from this terrible atrocity at this late hour.
We thank You and praise You Oh Lord, and ask You that you reveal Your presence to Terri and her family every moment. Thank You for Your abundant love for them and for each one of us. In Jesus' precious Name, and by His blood I ask this, Amen.
You got that right.
I hope Mark Levin, and Laura Ingraham, and Rush, and Michael Savage, and others who I've left out, will keep up on this issue with the Judiciary.
They are great voices on the air pushing the problem of the tyranny of the judges.
With Scoop keeping the story in print, maybe some other news media will get on the ball.
It's long past time that the Men In Black get over themselves.
Unfortunately, DeLay did not do his homework. He did not put in the bill last Sunday a provision that the feeding tube was to be reinserted pending federal review. Had he done so, GWB could have enforced the law with the National Guard after liberal Judge Jim Whittemore refused to feed and water poor Terri. Leaving that important line out gives GWB wiggle room to say that he did all he could do.
amen!
You've got to be kidding, though we know you're not. Who'd have thought the FDLE would cower at the feet of the local yokels. But then who'd have thought any of this week would have happened.
Godspeed to you and the others on the front lines.
Do you think they'd shoot if the Nat. Guard was there?
Still, can you see Dr. Frist really confronting the issue of judicial tyranny after what George W. Greer managed to achieve in Pinellas Co.?
For some reason, Fox News always puts on Eleanor Clift during stories like this, and one look at her prune mouth, and I automatically mute the TV---I do have closed caption, so I know what pap she trying to pass off as intellectual analysis, but at least I don't have to listen to her nasaly whine...ewwwww
All anyone who questions whether the dems are playing politics would have to do, is watch Eleanor Clift or Katrina Vanden Heuvel (prune mouth, also), and you would KNOW that Terri is not a person to them, but an obstacle to democrat power....
amen
Well, at such a point, Jeb should have declared martial law and asked his brother for federal troops. Simple solution to that were there the will

I believe that we will see some of the most cowardly actions in Congress ever in the weeks ahead. People that we once respected will have been shown to have feet of clay, when steel is required in this fight for the soul of the nation. Congress will be just as terrified of George W. Greer and his "Pinellas organization" as were the president and the governor.""""""
BRAVO, BRAVO~~~ THEODORE~~~!!!!
You are right on!!!! Let the naysayers attack!!
The truth will prevail, in the name of JESUS~!!!
No doubt in his youth he was known as Highchair King.
If was done in an overpowering way, no.
all I know is she's still responding.. despite the morphine they are pumping into her...
